Hostal Casaluna San Andres — Hotel in Saint Andrew

We stayed in the apartment, and the facility and space more than sufficed for our group of 8. Everybody associated with the hostal was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. Housekeeping was thoroughly diligent, and each day after our time on the beach we returned to a cleaned and stocked apartment. Security was plenty to feel safe Kitchen supplies that are provided were plenty to cook for and feed our group, and we really enjoyed cooking and eating as a family. The cost of the place was entirely reasonable, even for young, budget backpackers. The location is a bit out of town, but we came to really appreciate that, and found transit around the island from this location to be inexpensive and simple. 😊: We arrived very late and Gloria did her best to welcome us regardless. She took the time to explain everything and answer questions, she was so kind and accommodating for her guests. Her little garden is beautiful and adds to having breakfast outside.. 😢: Unfortunately I couldn’t figure how far the Hostal was from the center so if you don’t have a budget to rent a car or moto full time, it’s too far. 2 cab drivers told us not to go on our own in this area at night time either. The owners are very nice and the rooms are quite clean. The showers have cold water but it is so warm in san Andres that is a welcome relief from the heat. Some rooms have A/C and others have fans. there is a nice wash basin for hand washing clothes. the kitchen are is bright and the utensils adequate. Not far from town, we enjoyed our stay but since we had no A/C in our room, sleeping was a bit difficult. Beds are a bit firm, too firm for some but clean. Son lives on property so someone is there if help is needed....
