Posada Buganvilla is a beautiful little hotel to stay at while visiting San Andres. The owner and staff were very helpful and very nice. This Posada is located in San Luis which is great because it is close to some very nice beaches, but because of its location we highly recommend renting a golf cart or scooter (rent one of these while you are in the north side of the island). There is public transportation that passes by the posada but we really enjoyed the freedom of riding our scooter and going into town for dinner and not having to rely on public transportation. In the San Luis area there are a lot of the little restaurants that are open during lunch but they are not open during dinner. Our room was nice and the bed was comfortable and the AC worked! We were a little nervous about sharing the bathroom with other travelers but for the most part the bathroom was clean. The kitchen was always clean and we were able to cook a nice dinner. They also have an above ground pool. If you are looking for a place away from all the craziness of the north side of the island this is a charming place to stay. This was a perfect place for us to relax during our 6 day stay...
Read moreThis was the worst experience during our whole trip in Colombia. When we arrived there was nobody to check us in. We waited for over an hour, then we heared there was no room available. After some discussion they removed a worker (there was construction work being done on the site) from his sleeping place. The place was a mess. Definitely not worth the amount we had to pay. We were tired and didn't want to move so we asked for a discount. From this point on the lady didn't understand us no more. She called her boyfriend to handle it. We waited again, when he arrived he was no help at all. He was very intimidating up onto the point we really didn't feel safe, especially not to sleep there. We decided to pack our bags and go somewhere else. ||||Please DON'T stay here: it's in the middle of nowhere, a lot of noise from construction work, the rooms are in very bad condition, the staff is extremely unhelpfull and even intimidating! Also the WiFi...
