Hotel Tierra De Oro — Hotel in Santander de Quilichao

I recently stayed at Tierra de oro for a night and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive — from the warm welcome at check-in to the helpful housekeeping team who made sure everything was spotless. The breakfast was fresh and varied, and the location was perfect for exploring Santander del Quilichao.

That said, there are a couple of small things that could be improved. The Wi-Fi connection was a bit inconsistent in the evenings, and at the bathroom faucet there was a small leak. Neither issue was major, but addressing them would make future stays even better.

Can't be more positive about this place. I'm bicycle touring and was robbed just north of Santander de Quilichao by some guys on a scooter. The owners - Mario and Kate - were amazingly helpful, even bought me dinner and then very kindly drove me all the way to Popayan at no cost the following day. Es raro encontrar un hotel - hotel sin restaurante, especialmente si no es precisamente barato. Pero esto es precisamente lo que encuentras en Tierra de Oro. Lo cual podría ser simplemente pintoresco si fuera un sitio agradable o con instalaciones cómodas, pero la verdad es que es un hotel apenas pasable.
