Hotel House Birding — Hotel in Santander

We stayed in the Hotel House Birding for one afternoon and night during our bike travel from Bogotá to Baricharra. We had a great time here! Out of all the places we visited on our trip, this was our favorite. The hosts were super welcoming even though we arrived rather early in the day without calling first. Bike storage was easy and secure in the courtyard. Our room was comfortable and clean and it was surprisingly quiet at night despite the nearby road.

The top floor is a wonderful terrace with many plants where one can watch birds that are attracted by ripe bananas that have been spread around the place. The host offered us tinto, told us many interesting things about the local bird species, and offered advice for lunch and breakfast in the small village...

Everything was spottless clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good, with a lot of fruit, coffee, fresh juice and eggs with tomato. Really tastfull. The breakfast was on the rooftop with entertainment by a lot of birds! If you want to stay in Vaddo Real, you have to stay...

Nice place, morning coffee included, place is far enough from main road to be quiet but still very accessible, during the day the place is very cool.. No fan or air con needed.. They have bird watching tours.. Place is clean and friendly check...
