Posada Turistica NAKKU — Hotel in Silvia

For decades, Silvia has been a traditional destination for Colombians, but it may not be on the "best of" lists on travel guides. What an omission this is! This lovely little town is at the heart of the indigenous guambiano community, and it is nested in the middle of amazing mountains. Posada Nakku is an original mud-brick, century old house that has been tastefully renovated/divided into comfortable apartments. The owner, Camilo, usually deals with reservations personally, and he is very attentive to any request you may have. The location is unbeatable as the Posada is within walking distance of the main square, but far enough from the noise and hustle. They have a mutually beneficial relationship with the guambianos, who help to run the property and are hired as walking guides if you want to visit the gorgeous mountains around Silvia. I would stay in this hotel/apartment again; Silvia Cauca is a small town in the mountains; therefore you are not going to get glam and full amenities in any hotel. We found the apartment to be good enough for our needs; It was clean and spacious. They gave us enough blankets that kept us very warm at night. Meget hyggelig apartements hotel. Pent oppusset i lyse og friske farger. Meget rent og luftig. Husene er 100 år gamle og det er lagt tid og kjærlighet ned i å bevare den opprinnelige stilen. Leilighetene vender ut mot en skjermet hage med både terrasser og grillsted. |Nakku Turistica ligger ca 10 minutter å gå fra torget i den vakre høyfjellsbyen Silvia. Med en høyde på 2500 meter kan det bli kaldt om natten, så ta med varme klær. Silvia er vennlig, sjarmerende og rolig by (etter Colombiansk målestokk).
