I wish I could give Cinco Tierras and the lovely people who run the hotel MORE than 5 stars! We had the BEST experience staying with them for 5 days while we climbed at the Suesca rocks. Our room was sparkling clean, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the small chimenea took the chill out of the night air making our room cozy. |The food was also delicious. I've eaten a lot of pizza in my life but the pizza they made us in their wood fired pizza oven was beyond wonderful. The combination of excellent company, their amazing home brew IPA, the fire in the fireplace, and the pizza (which was a blend of sweet and savory) -- made for memorable night, to say the least! |However, I think what touched me the most was how gracious, attentive, and generous Francisco and Diani (our hotel hosts) were with their time. They were so patient as I practiced Spanish and were always there to answer questions or help us get things done. Since we were there for the week, things came up that they helped us work through. I can't thank them enough for their generosity! |I encourage everyone reading this review to book with Cinco Tierras, you will not regret your decision to stay at this...
Read moreThis is a quaint hotel in a village called Santa Rosita, not far from Suesca. It only has 2 rooms so the attention my fiancee and I received was exceptional. The place is run by Olga and Jairo, who did everything possible to make our stay very pleasant. In the evening we sat by the fire and had some drinks while Jairo prepared us a pizza in a stone-oven - I highly recommend the pepperoni and smoked red pepper one. I could have had many of these. The pizza was followed by an oreo cheesecake type of thing, which is hard to describe. It was delicious! I don't know if the stone oven made the difference or they have heavenly secret recipe but it was so good we bought more to take back home. The rooms were beautiful and very very comfortable, specially the mattress. From the hotel one can go for hikes and outdoors activities that Jairo can arrange - just ask. Overall, we loved the place and will go back at some point as we still have much to see in that area. It is just breathtaking! ||Congratulations Olga and Jairo for a wonderful...
Read moreThe staff and hosts were simply amazing. They were so friendly and helpful and made us feel so at home when we arrived. They serve their own brewed beer which was outstanding, especially the IPA! The pizzas were delicious, as well as the other dishes they serve. The rooms were attractively decorated and spacious. The staff have a cute little vegetable garden where they grow some of the veggies for the salads they serve with most of their meals, and the entire space is adorable and quirky. They also have three really great dogs that roam around and make the place feel fun and lively. Overall, we really loved it!...
