out of 20 years of travel one of the worst places i have stayed at. the restaurant is full of mosquitos at night and bees during the day time. the one dinner i had at night was some sort of shoe leather. the breakfast buffett was just as tasteless. you waited in line and the servers served you. similar to the way they server prisoners. that is the way the hotel feels. you are in a prison. it is 10 kilometers to the city on a long dirt pothole filled road. there is nothing nearby but houses and some other so called resorts. there are no taxis on small motor bikes that will take you to the city. the reception might be able to call you a taxi but you will have to wait a decent amount of time. the only things to do in the resort is to drink or sit by the beach or pool. or go on one of the tours to nearby islands. the families i saw there all started drinking during the day and continued late into the next morning with music blaring till the early morning hours. how to the kids sleep?? why would you bring your kids to a place like this? i could not leave fast enough. i will not come back. the people that enjoy these types of places and bring their families are not the people i care to be close to. says they have wifi, it never worked during...
Read moreStayed for a week at Camino Verde and had the vacation of my life. What a nice place! The cocktails are great (shout out to Luis and Oscar) and the rest of the staf is also quite friendly The food is good top but it wasn't always easy as a vegetarian. But that's the case for everywhere in Colombia. That trail behind the park is fantastic, the sculptures... are also interesting Man, the beach! The cocktails! We stayed in a hut on the other side of the street. They were clean but very rudimentary. Also... the biggest downside is we all had bedbug bites. It didn't temper our spirits though, only a minor issue. English is however as in most places here non existant But just...
