I was luck to meet one of the owners and she shared her story of the property/farm being in her family for 3 generations. Such a beautiful place. I was so lucky to have seen the snow peak (nevado del Ruiz) as the cloud opened.
I really had NO Expectations so finding this spot was just perfect for me and my friend (we were on a motorcycle expedition).
The staff was very nice and the owners still work the farm(they grow potatoes and have dairy cows).
At over 3,700 meters in altitude the views can be literally breathtaking and heart stopping all at the same time. Most definitely not for everyone.
If you are looking for a clean bed with a roof over your head out in nature (almost wild) this is definitely the place to stay.

Ecoparque Nevado del Ruiz is an experience like no other. Situated on the stunning volcano Nevado del Ruiz, this hotel delivered perfection at every turn. The view was breathtaking, with the milky way gracing the night sky and captivating landscapes greeting us during the day. Terrible servicio.
Hicimos la reserva con 12 días de antelación y se abonó como corresponde. Estuvimos en contacto con Fernando durante todo el tiempo inclusive el día mismo de la reserva. Él sabía de nuestra llegada.
Cuando llegamos al sitio siendo aproximadamente las 4:00 pm. ( estaba lloviendo terrible), procedimos a descargar todo nuestro equipaje y fuimos con la señora encargada de entregarnos nuestra habitación.. esperando y confirmando, decidió no darnos la habitación porque ella la había alquilado a las personas que habían dormido la noche anterior y se le hizo fácil dejarnos sin hospedaje y sin reserva, pese a que ya estaba paga.
No respondieron por nada y nos tocó irnos a buscar hospedaje en otro sitio sobre las 5 pm con una lluvia torrencial y totalmente cansadas.
Posteriormente le informé a Fernando el dueño sobre la situación y no ofreció ni la más mínima disculpa, no le importó en absoluto la situación y contrario cuando le solicité el reembolso se demoró 4 días en hacerlo, y yo presionando para que lo hiciera.
No recomiendo este lugar es nefasto!! Pésimo servicio y les vale los clientes. Fernando no tiene el sentido de ofrecer disculpas o intentar solucionar algo.
Por la zona hay lugares mucho más lindos y más amables, calidad de servicio y demás. Recomiendo que busquen y no caigan en un servicio tan malo como este lugar.
