Stayed here as it seemed like the most popular/lively of the accommodation options in Cabo de la Vela, all of which are fairly basic (hammocks/cabanas, showers that are either pipes coming out of a wall or buckets in bigger buckets!). Hostel was good, had secure lockers, clean bathrooms and staff were friendly and helpful (although fair warning: their English is limited). |Also took kitesurfing lessons at the Pujuru kite school which was awesome; got a discount because I was staying in the hostel and actually one of the courses included a free night in a hammock. Alexander, my instructor, was great - he spoke fluent English, tested me to understand where I was at in terms of previous kitesurfing experience and then customised our lessons based on that. Little hostel in Cabo de la vela. We used the chinchoro hammocks which were cozy. Let's face it expectations are not set high for being so far removed. Cabo is a beautiful beach with amazing surroundings. The hostel is opposite the beach at the end of town. The owners of the hostel let us cook in their kitchen but at the same time I felt we were invading their space. Bathrooms were modern but needed to be cleaned more frequent. Electricity only from 6pm to 10pm, but that was enough. A little pre warning from the owners though would have been nice. Don't bother eating at their restaurant, nothing was even offered to us. Eat out at the restaurant at the end of the road heading towards the Faro on the right. Literally a few houses down. Two nights was plenty for Cabo. We booked a tour to Punto Gallinas with Daniel. La premessa va fatta, la zona, Cabo della Vela si trova in mezzo al deserto dove scarseggiano acqua ed elettricità. Detto questo faccio questa recensione avendo sperimentato anche un altro alloggio distante poco più di un kilometro.||||Il voto delle due notti fatte qui è pessimo perché è mancato totalmente di comfort, non perché qui non sia possibile ma perché i gestori non attuano nessuna iniziativa a migliorare la struttura.||||Abbiamo passato due notti con scarafaggi e topi. Non viene fatto nessun trattamento al legno di nessun tipo e gli animali hanno facile vivere. Passare due notti con rumori strani di animaletti che vogliono entrare nelle borse, sacchetti e valige è a dir poco angosciante. Ci trovavamo spesso a dovere accendere la luce (lucine portate dall'Italia perché qui di notte non c'è elettricità) e vedere un fuggi fuggi di topi e scarafaggi. Ci è andata bene solo perché abbiamo perimetrato la zona con il Biokill (portatelo se per caso volete venire) con il risultato di trovare animaletti rantolanti nella doccia, vicino al letto e fuori dalla porta. Ah si dimenticavo le stanze si trovano vicino alle pattumiere. Trovare zampette di scarafaggi sul letto non è bello. Portatevi dei sacchi lenzuolo che trovate alla decathlon a 15 euro.||||Igiene: assente||||Cibo: se il "personale" ha voglia di cucinare e ti ricordi di ordinare forse riesci a mangiare dopo un'ora che ti siedi. Conviene mangiare nei baracchini li vicino (Chiedete di Joaquin) però non vi aspettate di poter scegliere cosa mangiare e mettete sempre in conto un'ora per ordinare. La qualità del cibo è buona e c'è sempre il pescato del giorno. Aragoste a 8/10 euro.||||Ambiente: la struttura è a dir poco impresentabile e ci sono i tetti in ETERNIT (quando l'ho visto mi è venuto un colpo). Però c'è da dire che appena usciti il mare è molto bello a livello di colori anche se non permette lo snorkling perché l'acqua è salmastra. Quando siamo andati c'erano meduse ovunque ma dicono che non è sempre così.||||Kite surfing: Cabo della vela è una sicurezza. Con venti a 30 nodi tutto il giorno costanti è il paradiso dei surfer. Se non volete cimentarvi resterete comunque ammagliati dalla acrobazie dei colombiani che sfrecciano fino al tramonto e compiono salti di 15/20 metri (senza esagerare).||||Prezzi: per una notte sono 25000 pesos (8/10 euro col cambio attuale) ma spendendo 3 euro in più potete andare alla vicina struttura Utta.||||Per concludere: Cabo della Vela merita di essere visitato almeno una volta nella vita, il pojorojo no!||Andate alla vicina struttura Utta che...
