I have stayed here for a full week 5 times over the last 6 years. This place gets 5 stars for views and friendliness. The rooms, especially on the upper floors, are basic but clean and spacious. People are generally friendly and even though prices are high for the region, they are still very affordable for visitors from the US/Europe. During the week, there are not a lot of people around, mostly paragliding pilots during flying season, while during the week-ends, local families come to spend the day by the beautiful pool. It tends to be warm enough that I can't see anyone wanting to use the sauna or steam room, but they have them. Management should really invest in some WiFi access points, as none of the rooms have a signal and if you need to access the internet, you need to move to the lobby or pool area. The biggest shortcoming of the hotel is the food. They could really use a better chef than they have. I ordered a medium steak and what I got was not only raw inside, but cold. Juices tend to be overly sweet and there's an overreliance on starches and a lack of veggies. As elsewhere in Colombia, outside of the major cities, it's not possible to get a good cup of coffee. Last year they started to offer pizzas by the pool restaurant, which are...
Read moreThis hotel sits in a mid-range mountain overlooking the valley. Needless to say the views are nothing short of amazing from just about any room in the hotel and it is very comfortable. As far as I can tell all of the rooms had a balcony.||The place it self is extremely quiet and very well kept; however, it is not near any urban center so don't expect to get your party on in the hotel or near it. (They do offer a night club kind of thing, but it"s not much)||Do not skip eating at their restaurant because all of the foods that I had were spectacular and very reasonably priced. About $30 USD for 2 people per meal. I know everything I have mentioned is good, but the best feature of the hotel was definitely the service. Friendly faces all around always willing to help!!!||As a last recommendation, Do take the National Grape park tour as it offers multiple well guided forms of entertainment, but the winery tour was an absolute waste of time! ||TRY THEIR...
Read moreStayed there for 7 days in April 2022. Hot tub was broken for duration of the stay, WiFi was not working for the whole stay, and the last three days of our stay they said "the pool will be closed for renovations.." however never informed us when making reservation. Hot water in the room worked about half the time.
Rooms were always clean and staff amazing.
After we after we said we were leaving because the pool was going to be shut down and nobody made us aware the hotel did right and delayed the renovations by 3 days. That was the right thing to do.
That being said we paid for a hotel with Internet, a jacuzzi, a pool, and hot water and I don't feel that is what we got.
If you book here I would ensure all advertised amenities are working cause it was not the case...
