Ecohotel Los Mikos Norcasia Caldas — Hotel in Victoria

This was a great experience. If you don't have a 4x4 vehicle, there is only one way to get to Los Mikos: by boat. And let me tell you something, it's awesome! They pick you up at the docks and then you get to enjoy 20 minutes of beautiful landscape, the reservoir and the dam. When you arrive at the foot of the hill where the hotel is located at, be sure to "suffer" a little by climbing 350 mts of rainforest. When you get to the hotel, you will love the great view it has of the Amaní reservoir. For your stay you have 2 options. Cabins or some kind of tents. We chose the latter, and if you're not very tall, this can be a comfortable option. The food here is great, although I'm not sure if there are any vegan or vegetarian options; I may advise you to ask in advance if that's your party's case. Next to the restaurant area there's a beautiful swimming pool with a great view of the landscape, perfect for some pictures. There's also a "natural" pool close to the tents, which was adequated like that using a creek that runs close to the hotel. There are 2 activities that you can enjoy outside of the hotel. 1 of them is visiting several waterfalls of different heights,you can take pictures there too, and you can swim if you want as well. This activity lasts about 1hr 30 min. In my opinion, this activity is a little bit expensive (for Colombians) since it is like 45.000 COP per person, and they can pack like 13 people in the boat. The second activity is kayaking. It was our first time kayaking, and although we were a bit scared, we really had a good time. We even had the time to visit a small waterfall across the water from the hotel. People at the hotel will give you the basics about that. Keep in mind that you should be in control of the time you use since it seems no one tells you when your time is up. At Los Mikos the internet service is pretty poor and some people (like us) won't even have signal at all. I advise you to pay cash since there is no card machine, and the only way to pay by card is via internet (which is pretty bad) and as far as I know, only For Bancolombia users. If you're planning on staying more than 1 night there, you can do body rafting of water rafting in the rivers nearby, just ask the people at the hotel to give you the number of the guy in...

OJO !! TENGA CUIDADO

Pros La vista : el paisaje es magnífico , uno de mis favoritos, cuenta con vista panorámica a el embalse y montañas. Kayak : Puedes hacer kayak con otra persona o tú solo , viene incluido con el paquete de 2 noches . Vas remando a cascadas naturales , te dan las indicaciones y protección . Atención : La atención es buena en general , principalmente Marcela y Jeferson son personas muy amables Piscina : cuenta con una piscina de agua natural , el dueño comentó que traía el agua de un nacimiento , la filtraba 4 veces y luego se enviaba al embalse ; por esto el agua no tiene cloro . Ingreso Mascotas ??? : Esto lo pongo en interrogación ya que realmente no se pueden llevar , sin embargo se puede pedir al dueño la opción si es posible

Contras Via de Acceso : realmente TERRIBLE A. Por agua : para el acceso por este medio debes llegar a Norcasia en tu auto y lo dejan en un parqueadero Debes pagar un mototaxi que te lleva desde el parqueadero hasta el puerto . En este solo caben 3 personas con pocas maletas y vale 12.000 pesos el trayecto. La lancha te recoge a un horario específico que programes con la encargada , está te lleva hasta la “entrada” El trayecto que usas desde el embalse hasta el eco hotel es de 400 mts aproximadamente, sin embargo es un sendero inclinado, en tierra , no hay barandas , no hay escaleras - “Trocha o antiguo camino de mula 🐎 “. ¡¡¡OJO !!!NO LLEVAR ANCIANOS O DISCAPACITADOS ( secuelas motoras ) , NO PODRÁN SUBIR.

B. Por tierra : si NO cuentas con una camioneta 4x4 con doble y bajo , no podrás subir la “carretera “ , ya que no está pavimentada y en pésimas condiciones, incluso cuando llueve los vehículos 4x4 no pueden salir de allí . Esto se podría arreglar ya que es parte de la finca , al parecer ganan más dinero por el acceso en agua por tanto no lo quieren arreglar

Precio : el precio es DEMASIADO ALTO para lo que ofrecen , en realidad no vale la pena , es de 250.000 pesos por persona cada noche. Otros hoteles del sector de l misma categoría , lo ofrecen a mitad de precio . Cabañas sin puerta: teniendo en cuenta lo anterior , se espera que el hospedaje sea muy bueno , pero NO es así . Las cabañas tienen demasiados agujeros donde ingresan los bichos ( ventanas y agujeros ) , no tienen puerta y las pocas que tienen no tienen llave y debes dejar sin seguridad todo el día , los Baños tampoco tienen puerta ( muy importante - incluso en cabañas familiares ), muy poco aseo en el baño ( Tenía pelos ajenos en el drenaje desde el primer día ) y además no te hacen limpieza diaria como en cualquier hotel . Lo bueno es que la cama cuenta con toldillo. Comida : la comida en general es muy buena , te ofrecen desayuno , almuerzo y cena. El problema es que no hay menú o carta para elegir , es lo que ofrezcan ese día , tampoco hay comidas rápidas por si tienes algún antojo . Cuentan con una tienda con mecato ( dulces , gaseosas , chocorramo), pero eso es todo . Yo esperaría que por ese precio me den por lo menos la opción de elegir en el menú Entretenimiento : de entretenimiento te ofrecen la piscina , juegos de mesa y actividades al aire libre ( obviamente con costo extra ) , eso es todo . Atención : como puse en los pros la atención es un punto a favor , excepto por un integrante masculino , moreno de talla baja ( creo que el nombre es Cristian ). Esta persona siempre tiene mala actitud y aparente pereza con el cliente . Le pedimos un café en leche sin dulce y nos dijo que no se podía hacer , al parecer las personas diabéticas no tienen opción en este...

Los Mikos is an amazing place to disconnect from your stressy life and connect with nature. The views you have from this hotel and it's pool are amazing, just perfect to just sit and enjoy the view, the birds, the sunset...||We stayed in one of the cabins, it has no "luxury", but you have a comfy bed, private bathroom and a hammock to enjoy the views, what more do you want?! Oh, ours had a little outside pool as an extra plus!||The food (breakfast / lunch / diner) comes included in the price and all of it was just superb.
