This place was really crazy awful and I would not recommend at all for the price. When I arrived the place didn’t look like the pictures. The main house looks like a wreck and there is no comfort inside the tents. Everything looks really cheaply made. The towels are all old, the beds are not comfortable and the sheets are not new. The sheets are not enough for the weather either. It’s really cold and you can actually get sick in the tents without downs. Also the tents have mold bc in the area it rains almost daily. The bathrooms are outside and also very grossly made. There are no locks and no well made door for the bathrooms. There is no real sidewalk to the bathrooms. It’s all muddy and it’s hard to walk without slipping so going to the bathroom is a pain in the neck. There should be more amenities provided for the property and especially for the price point and how the experience is sold online. This is not luxury camping. I can’t believe I paid just to have back pain and a cold. It’s really just a finca in the middle of nowhere where there are tents for people. Nothing more. This place is really a huge liability and for the price I would never come here again. A car picks you up taking you through a road where it’s difficult to get out. If you want to see more things around the area, good luck, because there’s no way to get out without their special car. I really was expecting a lot more because for the price I have gone to multiple locations in termales del Ruiz area who are better. Where you can see el nevado del Ruiz and the termal pools. It doesn’t make sense to come here. Payment is also very difficult. If you’re an international person, it’s really hard to pay because it’s direct deposit or cash only. Also there’s no real activities in the property to enjoy like. There is no real restaurant, just one lady doing everything & the attention is pretty terrible, not many people to help you or guide you through the property. Nature around the proper itself is pretty, but you can get the same somewhere else with more comfort. I don’t understand all the good reviews which is why I booked. It must have been family...

During my visit to Manizales, my fiancée and I stayed at the El Color the mis Reves. It was recommended after a near by Glamping did not have availability on the dates I wanted. It was a very good recommendation because we surely enjoyed the stay. We rented the newest Cabaña because it had a little more convenience than the other ones. The night we stayed we had clear view of the sky and the darkness allowed us to see countless stars while laying down on the net in front of the balcony before the clouds rolled in. The outside wooden basin's water gets heated with a wood stove system and the water was awesome. The temperature hovered around 42.8 Celsius probably colder. We basically depended on cold weather clothing especially being from the state of Florida where the temperature is always warm. We received very good attention and keep in mind that you will be visited by the staff to ensure you are okay and that the water in the Basin is ready for you to get in. We really enjoyed their attention and was glad they were near by for any eventuality. The night we stayed it rain almost all night and the cold settle in pretty strong. However we were dressed accordingly and quickly hunker down under the covers for the night. To get there you need to follow the administrators instructions and be on board of the transportation they provides. That is a must. In fact, I do NOT recommend you trying to get there on your own vehicle as the Clamping is located on private property and for your safety and for very very good reasons. You will definitely enjoy the ride and the adventure. The food was very good and the staff was very helpful at all time. If you like adventure at any age and like Nature, must definitely recommend you to give El Color the Mis Reves a try. The Owner and His wife was very helpful from the minute I started making arrangements to travel and i really appreciated them in everything. Definitely will love to visit...

After hearing of this place for a couple of years I finally made it there last month while visiting birding sites in the Manizales/ Cordillera Central area. I was there explicitly for the bird photography opportunities which are world class, but I think this place would still be a lot of fun for non-birders too, especially if they wanted to just relax, unplug, and be enveloped in the beautiful mountain forest setting. In the interest of full disclosure I just a cabina to stay in rather than a tent, and it was quite delightful. There was of course electricity (essential for changing batteries) private bath, and hot water. Claudia the cook and general on-site point person was incredibly kind and welcoming. Mateo the birding guide (I highly recommend booking him at least one day, if not more) is fantastic for locating some of the more challenging species like Black-collared Jay and Ocellated Tapaculo, and has very impressive knowledge of calls and habits. I would recommend a stay here to anyone who wants to see the incredible birds of central Colombia, particularly the Black-billed Mountain-Toucan which is the speciality of this place. Honestly a perfect experience and great value as well.

A good birding spot. Feeders are active with a varity of hummingbirds and also Antpita sport and Black-billed mountain toucan dropping by. Did not stay in the room. For one who think of staying overnight check the weather. This area can be chilly. Access is only using 4*4 crossing a river. The last 100 m was walking only because of mud. Weather dependent. Great service and good colombian home cooking.
