FINCA KAIDALY — Hotel in Villavicencio

Villavicencio may not be much of a tourist attraction but Finca Kaidaly makes the 2 hour trip from Bogota worth while for a few days get away. The highway from Bogota to Villavicencio is great with lots of beautiful views. You need to go through a bit of Villavicencio to get to Finca Kaidaly but don't be worried when the heat strikes you down...Finca Kaidaly is back up the mountain and you'll enjoy not only the beautiful view of Los Llanos below but a lower temperature and cooling breezes. We stayed there for 2 nights and would have stayed longer if we could. We were 3 men and 1 woman, all just friends and for 25,000 pesos each we got a 2 bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms, living room (with 2 single beds + TV + fridge which is essential to keep drinks cold!). This also included a big breakfast. The place could have been a bit cleaner but it was fine. When we asked for anything, extra towels, a fan, etc... the service was quick and gracious. The family who are the caretakers and administrators are wonderful, kind and very helpful. When we arrived it was late but we were able to use the very clean, natural spring water pool to cool down from our trip. The beds were very comfortable and the fans in each room made for a good sleep. The next day, after breakfast, our host led us back down the mountain on his moto and showed us the way out of town to visit the Llanos. The best part of the tour that day was again going back up the mountain to El Alto del Mirador for spectacular views, a beautiful quebrada and a bit of a hike. In the afternoon, back at the finca we enjoyed pool side service and enjoyed the hammacks and the billiard table in the games' room. We were there on a Sunday and Monday night and had the place to ourselves. I imagine that on some week-ends it may be full of family groups. If you'd prefer peace and quiet consider a visit...

El hotel kaidaly es un excelente hotel que cumple con todo lo prometido, sus habitaciones son cómodas, limpias, la comida es deliciosa, sus refrigerios como sus postres son exquisitos, su ambiente es tranquilo, la atención fue maravillosa, el paisaje que se presencia desde allí es sorprendente. Muy agradecida con el Sr Jorge Gomez por su maravillosa atención su manera de recibirnos fue muy grata, a los funcionarios administrativos David Gomez y Felipe Gomez por brindarnos un gran servicio .. les recomiendo esta finca ecoturistica con su piscina natural, sus jaccuzis y el ambiente tan sano que se vive en ella .. Excelente servicio x el personal, se esfuerzan para que estes a gusto. El desayuno es caldo de costilla, con hueso y carne mas huevos, chocolate , arepa, pan muy bueno, uno queda llenito.. Si tu plan es dormir pide habitación lejos de la piscina, si tu plan es otro pidela cerca. Te dejan llevar tus bebidas y a lo q se terminan ellos te venden, el precio es razonable y puedes reservar por whastapp sin targeta de crédito. En fin. Volveremos para las sgtes vacaciones.
