The Location is amazing and the View is breathtaking.... But this is all about it!! The Hose has a nice concept but it is poorly build and the materials are cheap. there is a huge luck of attention to details and to comfort. it is definitely not worthed the price you will pay for.
the view is stunning and you are surrounded by the forest, but the neighbors are building a huge house directly on top of this property so prepare to be wake up by terrible construction noises at 6am EVERY morning!! this was unexpected and we were not aware of this so be sure to double check and ask Andrea if the work are ended before booking this place, or forget about any birds singing or jungle atmosphere. the only noise you will have to deal with are hammers and drilling all day long!
the concept of the house it is nice and is open to the surrounded nature, but there is a huge luck of comfort. the table is big enough to be comfortable for two people. the sofa beds are hold and rigid. the kitchen is badly exquipped. the lights are not pleasant and you will have to use just this high-power and cold spotlights from the ceiling. it is impossible to have a lounge atmosphere once the sun goes down and it is impossible to read a book without wake up the whole house as there are no lights dedicated to any "private" moments.
the pool is not an infinity one! it works only till you first jump in it. once you have first swim there, the level of the water will go down and there will be no riclycling active. the cleaners come just once a week, so make sure to use it only the day after they come if you do not want to jump on a little pond!
no hangers all over the place. so if you need to dry your swimming wear or your beach towels, good luck find a place on the walls or on the chairs of the outdoor small table.
honestly it is a pity as the pace has a big potential and the location is perfect, but it has been clearly poorly build with cheap materials and a complete luck of sense of design and comfort, which you would expect for the money you pay for it.
shame that all these comments have been plurely submitted to Andrea, but without been listen and accepted. so I doubt this will ever been improved.
Just be aware of all these before booking this place, compared to the expectations you might have for the...
Read moreWe’ve stayed in Costa Rica 3 times and have had great experiences with our VRBO homes, except this one. It’s an amazing location but the home has not been well kept and is very impractical for a group of 4. There is no dining table except a rusty cheap outdoor table and the indoor seating was not comfortable or welcoming. The mountain side wall is a steel cage that required more steps to open and close than should be necessary. The lounge chairs on the crumbling patio were worn and soiled and did not work properly. The pool was not an infinity pool as advertised. The dishwasher did not work. The lighting was stark with some lights out. There were no hangers, but the property manager was very helpful yet seemed frustrated with the situation. We got the feeling that our feedback was not uncommon. The view was amazing, but that was about all that was good. At this price point it came up short. Beware, the listing pictures may not represent...
Read moreModern comfort surrounded by incredible wild beauty, plus breathtaking Ocean view. Just perfect for relaxing. It was like a dream truly, we loved it. The house is in outstanding condition, it has every thing you could ask for. We were able to prepare our meal in the fully equipped kitchen. Enjoyed the spacious terrace and the endless pool, that at night, the led lights in the pool and the sound of the forest gave it a magical touch. There are many beaches and waterfalls very close to visit. The manager was always very attentive to our needs. We highly recommend staying at "Pura Uvita" and definitely will return.
