It is cool to live in the jungle, but it was very hard to get there with big backpacks and nobody informed us about that before. Also the taxi service is limited and bookings hotels in the area usually do for you were kind of difficult (we always had to ask for updates, like the corcovado tour or the boat service). The corcovado day tour we went through them was a bit disappointing, since we went there pretty late and our guide was not that motivated. Plus the double room is literally next to all the other beds without a wall in between, so there‘s no privacy and also noisy. The tours could be cool, but expensive (night tour 40$ was the cheapest). The food was good but on the pricey side with 10$ without drinks and the vegetarian option sometimes not that filling. I think it‘s a good idea, but not that crazy as people in the recommendations said, and definitely not a relaxing, easy experience since it‘s hard...
Read moreMy stay here was incredible. The farm is surrounded by primary forest and the opportunity to see all kinds of amazing animals like toucans and tapirs. I highly recommend doing the night tour as that’s when you can see the most animals, especially guided by Elmer or Emilio as they have a well trained eye for spotting them. Their hospitality was wonderful and they made me feel right at home :) I’ll never forget my time there, it’s an incredibly special place filled with incredibly special people. The accommodations are rustic but they will help you get that much closer to nature ;) this is the most authentic Oso Peninsula tour you can do. And rest assured you’re helping a multi-generational family farm maintain their way of life and manage the surrounding forest with so much love. Expect to get wet, sweaty, and up close & personal with animals that you may never see again. Hope you enjoy it as...
Read moreAmazing experience! Basic Eco-Lodge, but in a gorgeous old jungle, so luxury cannot be expected. It's definitely an experience to come and stay here, but the staff is very friendly and an amazing cook as well! The lodge is surrounded by beautiful old trees, toucans, monkeys, hike trails to a cool waterfall.... It was recommended by the Nativos tour operator (same family business) in Drake town, instead of doing the intense and expensive tour to the Los Planes station in Corcovado Park, which is actually next...
