It was our last stop in costa rica and it was great. We are a couple with a small 8 months baby. We stayed there for 10 days , after coming from a long trip from the pacific side of the country. It is located in the middle of the jungle and only 10min by car to the beaches. The complex is very recent and the houses are relatively separated from each other to have privacy but still we were very close to the common area. We stayed in a house with 3 beds and a small kitchen outside. We wished there was a crib four our little one but she stayed in one of the single beds surrounded by pillows. Veronique, the host, was really nice and helpful. Our french was a bit rusty so we spoke spanish and we could understand each other pretty well. She cooked breakfast and dinner several times for us and it was delicious. The internet connection was a bit weak but it was enough for what we needed. We loved to go to the swimming pool after spending the whole day in the beach and our little one loved to splash in it with us. Resuming, it was the perfect end for our vacation. Thank you Veronique for you...
Read moreThe property is beautiful, in the jungle so the surroundings are amazing. Our bungalow was very clean and had everything we needed to cook with in the little kitchen. The location is a little bit out of Puerto Viejo up a long bumpy road. It would probably be best to have a car to get around, we didn't but we really enjoyed long days sitting outside our bungalow reading and relaxing. When we did go into the town it was very easy to get a taxi and Veronique very kindly gave us a lift a few times as well. Veronique is a wonderful host who is so kind and welcoming and has created a beautiful paradise out in the jungle! We also loved all of her dogs who would come visit us at the bungalow :) we would definitely stay here again and recommend this place...
Read moreI stayed at Finca Ardilla this April and had a fantastic experience. The bungalows are private, comfortable and have the most beautiful rainforest views. Four-poster beds, wooden deck/terrace for morning coffee and happy hour... The finca is located in the jungle so you see many monkeys, insects, geckos, etc. The property is lush and the pool is gigantic! There is moderate wifi in the common "rancho" area, but no TV, which is perfect for a vacation away from technology. Veronique is a very sweet host and provides great information about the nearby beaches, parks, restaurants etc. I would recommend staying here if you have a car and enjoy being independent. The dogs and cats are super cute...
