Hotel Fortuna Verde — Hotel in Corredor

I would first like to say that I was in Costa Rica due to business and needed a low priced place to stay for 3 days. I was a little apprehensive about what I would find in the price range I was looking for in a modest hotel. With that being said, when I first arrived, I had an uneasy feeling when the taxi arrived and the front gates were locked but later I understood because it was low season and I was not expected due to problems with the booking website, which I can totally believe. The only reason I did not give the hotel 5's across the board is the accessibility to places to buy things or go for dinner without the need for a car. But, that I believe will change once more people hear about the area. That being said, I thought the hotel was definitely an unexpected pleasure. After clearing up the computer problem and even during the problem, I was treated like family. The room I was in and spent most of my time was comfortable and cool with the A/C. As I said earlier, I did not have a car. So this presented a problem for me, because there were no restaurants in the area at the time of my visit. But thankfully I was served lunch and dinner ( I am not much of a breakfast person which I told them) for a very modest cost. Even though they were delicious meals served and professionally arranged on the plate you still felt like you were part of the family. The owner and her husband are wonderful people and introduced me to the other members of the family. They did everything they could to make me feel comfortable. The grounds to the hotel are lovely with plants and fruit trees around. The owner told me that they will be putting in hiking trails, that would be a plus. This hotel is an excellent option to stay if you are working around the area. The rooms are very comfortable. The service you get is great. I would recommend to rent a car if you wanna drive around. You can see monkeys on the area and the hotel...

Fortuna Verde es una excelente opción para hospedarse cuando se va a la zona cerca de la frontera con Panamá. Muy cerca de Golfito, Ciudad Neily y la frontera.
