Don Fito Hotel — Hotel in Golfito

As two male friends we went on a scouting trip to the duty free area in Golfito. We booked two single economy rooms and were both very pleased. Check in was awesome and we were walked to our rooms. This is a remodeled hotel and the cleanliness was beyond clean. The hotel was not full and they used every second room on the top floor to ensure quiet and privacy. It is a fully secured complex and we had a great time sitting on the balcony chatting with Pedro, the security person in the early evening. My husband had stayed here earlier in the year so we planned a trip and booked the same hotel. The staff was very pleasant and it was a surprise to get a gallo pinto breakfast. Both pluses. The downside, the air conditioner did not work well despite being set at 17 C, there was no hot water for the shower and a dirty plate in the microwave. The rain really came down hard in Golfito making it impossible to leave the night we were there. The staff was very accommodating by providing a much needed room for the night.
