Eco Guest House — Hotel in La Virgen

Wendy’s place is incredible, a beautiful house, private and surrounded by nature. The nights were with perfect temperature and you sleep with the sound of nature, something we needed to get accustomed with. But we had the best sleep for 4 nights! We booked the full experience with breakfast and dinners brought dearly by Wendy’s mom, who was a bit like our mom too. If you speak a bit of spanish, this will stay as your favorite memory of the house, like for us. The waterfall of the neighbour’s property is also superb and had it just for us, is bigger than it looks on photos! We also saw some toucans from the balcony and hummingbirds. A little paradise we recommend...

This place is an experience. The guest house is spacious with no glass windows, fans or ac. All windows have insect screens and it is quite cool at night.

Sitting outside you hear the wildlife and see the tucans, fireflies and unfortunately mosquitoes.

Doña Rita is in charge of the cooking and both dinner and breakfast were ample and tasty. She does not speak English but using sign language we managed. We only stayed here for 1 night but staying several nights is recommended to get a feel of the area and spend more time with doña Rita...

Fabulous place, amazing location, which is easy to find and access (we drove a 2WD). The house is secluded with the jungle surrounding it. The sounds of birds, bats, frogs and monkeys are all you can hear. Just wear ear plugs at night if you are a light sleeper. This is a really peaceful setting. The property itself is excellent, with great layout and well furnished. The hosts are absolutely lovely, very friendly and helpful. We had great recommendations for where to eat out and get breakfast nearby. Would recommend...
