I accept that we all review based upon our own expectations and those may be different than others. My family was looking for a hotel relatively close to the airport after our two week Costa Rican vacation. This place got great reviews. It was hard to find especially at night; streets are dark, no street signs. It’s behind a large concrete wall topped with barbed wire. There’s a large metal gate that they have to open to let you in. When we checked in, they handed us towels and put bars of soap on the top of them. I honestly thought I was being booked into county. The rooms were very basic and clean. Not decorated, bare walls. Hardest pillows I’ve ever encountered. Is not convenient to the airport due to the traffic and narrow roads. There’s a sign next to the toilet asking you not to flush paper. It’s in a residential area that’s very dark and I didn’t see any commercial establishments anywhere near there. The reviews/pictures did not paint an accurate picture in my opinion. Read moreWe just flew in to Costa Rica 🇨🇷 ready to adventure but has a long long flight. We made it to hotel Javy in the early evening. We were welcomed like family, easy check in process, off the attest parking, beautiful room/bathroom and very comfortable beds and pillows. There was ac that we turned on to cool down but didn’t keep it on.
In the Morning we went down for a beautiful breakfast with Gallo pinto, eggs, salchica and fruit. Coffee was amazing too. My wife saw some parrots 🦜 as well when we first got up in the tree outside the room which made it even better. There is a playground for my daughter just a quick walk away and a little shop for snacks too
Epic great price for all that it offers and would recommend it to friends flying in to Liberia that fly in and need a spot to relax before starting their Costa Rican adventure
Gracias y...
Read moreThis July (2019), after vacationing in Costa Rica, my mother became extremely ill. When she was transferred to Hospital Enrique Baltodano, my brother and I searched for a hotel within walking distance of the hospital. Hotel Javy was about 6 blocks from the hospital, and we were very lucky to have found it. We originally booked for just one night, then had to add another four. When my mom continued in the ICU and was not improving, the friendly workers at Hotel Javy were very accommodating. They allowed us to change our reservation several times and continuously asked about the patient or if there was anything they could do for us. The hotel is clean and comfortable with beautiful plants throughout the patio area, and the people who work there are wonderful!!! And....they served the BEST Costa Rican coffee with a great breakfast...
