We really enjoyed our stay at Orosi Lodge. You enter into a common area that is a combination reception, gift shop and dining area. We were greeted with fresh squeezed lemonade made with lemons grown on the property. The owners are great and share a lot of information about things to do in the area. They have a book with photos and information on the many activities. ||We were in a second story room with a shared balcony that looked out over the mountains and down to a small courtyard area with a fountain and a board where they put out fruit for the many birds. The room has a sink, mini fridge, coffee maker with coffee, powdered creamer and sugar. The bed is comfortable; the shower has nice hot water. There are so many nice touches they do in the room. There are colorful origami butterflies placed throughout the room, hooks on the wall to hang things, a hair dryer if you need it. There is no a/c but it is not needed. It is very cool and comfortable. We slept great. ||All of the items in the gift shop are purchased from the actual artisans so they are truly Costa Rican made. The coffee that they serve and sell in the shop is also purchased from a local grower. We enjoyed our stay, will definitely be back and...
Read moreThis place is a really nice experience. The reception car gift shop is beautiful with a nice breakfast balcony. The breakfast is really excellent a individual hot cast iron pan of eggs, tomatoes and cheese which is amazing fresh squeezed orange juice and the best selection of homemade jams. The staff are very friendly and efficient. It has the best recommendations of things to do of any place I have stayed in in CR. The rooms are simple, beds are comfortable. It has the feel of a very happy establishment. Only thing that is a problem is at night you have to go around the outside of the main area on a narrow path and there are very fierce scary big dogs that hurl themselves at the fence when you try to get past. It is really very shocking and no way to avoid it if you leave or...
Read moreNice petite lodging place. The room was clean, no AC in our room, but air ventilation was very good. With the fans turned on at night, we didn't feel like needing AC anyways. The parking lot was right in front of the lobby next to the street, but was safe during our stay. The breakfast was extra$ but cooked fresh and delicious. There are some restaurants around the area which you could have diner at. Nothing fancy but sufficient. There are some mosquito since the windows are often open, so bring your after bite cream. The owner do turn on their torch in the evening which should have helped in some degree. They do not have a microwave in the room, but do have coffee machine and a very small refrig. So you won't be able to cook...
