Hacienda Mil Bellezas — Hotel in Parrita

Oh joy of joys to witness this beautiful land! Your hosts Danny and Markus are gracious, eloquent, and kind! Danny is an AMAZING COOK! My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of meeting Danny at the Quepos Feria. She told us of Hacienda Mil Bellezas and we tasted her DELICIOUS banana bread and mango scone. When we realized they had horseback riding and they would offer us a THREE COURSE MEAL we were excited to schedule our tour. The tour was ridiculously affordable and worth every penny/colones. We felt safe, secure, and thoroughly enjoyed our horseback riding tour. When we arrived we were given fresh coffee and shown around. We were given helmets and assisted in straddling our horses. We rode down a path to a refreshing swimming hole and presented with fresh fruit. We swam and played before mounting our horses again and heading to our next swimming location. We hiked on foot to the next swimming hole and took tons of pictures of the beauty. Then we rode our horses to a vantage point where you could see the ocean from the top of the point. When we finally returned to the farm after our tour Danny had prepared our 3 course meal. Our appetizer was fresh squeezed star fruit juice, fresh baked biscuits, fresh mozzarella cheese with tomatoes and seasoning. SHE MADE THE CHEESE WHILE WE WERE HORSEBACK RIDING! Then we were served fresh de-boned chicken, yuca fries, carrots, and a Costa Rican squash that's delicious. Everything came from the farm! Dessert was mango crepes with mango whipped cream. The energy of the land, the food, and the calmness of the horses, everything was so amazing we felt like we made the BEST INVESTMENT EVER. Trust me, you'll love every minute at Hacienda...

this home and this family made our holiday. we are an adult family of five with various interests and we all found the farm and surrounding area fascinating and loved exploring and sharing stories about all that we did over evening meals on the back deck. the pets felt like our own and made our stay extra special. the farm animals were fascinating and we loved observing and learning about them as much the surrounding wild life. the guided tour was informative and enhanced our week. we loved the various fruits and the trails leading to the waterfalls and pools. the home was beautifully appointed and functional. we were in want of nothing. the special touches were the treats and time we got spend with this amazing couple, and learn about the area, local activities like zip lining and horse back riding. tips about hidden gem beaches and local fish and produce markets made our excursions and day trips even better. dani and markus really got a sense of what we enjoyed and made recommendations that were truly appreciated. they were considerate and personable and very interesting to chit chat with when we crossed their paths during the day or shared the sensational farmhouse breakfast with. our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. we look forward...

This place is the definition of magical. I don't want the secret to get out, but our host deserves recognition. The owner, Markus, was so amazing. He's fluent in multiple languages, which made us feel very welcomed. Fresh breakfast every morning. I would suggest typical- rice and beans, scrambled eggs, delicious cheese and a hand made tortilla.

Staff was always polite and helpful, very hard working.

The land is what I came for. And that was where the magic is. Multiple trails to hike. Creeks to walk. Waterfalls left and right. The Rio Damas swimming holes are the most beautiful sight I've ever seen. This is where I was asked to marry the love of my life!! We walked a new trail every day. Found new animals every day! Please be sure you're educated on local critters. There are books at the dining hall for species ID. There's a beautiful trail map, be sure to take a picture before you head out! Some trails are marked, some are hidden gems! I'll gush about this proper all day.
