Finca kobo review
Beautiful and fully diverse to say the least!
Happy staff, plants, pollinators, birds, lizards, insects, and elements!!! What an amazing place to experience here in the osa peninsula. Always a pleasure to see a business, rooted in Organics, and familial, values! Especially this well maintained and in production.
Finally! Indigenous and heirloom genetics here! Cruda bananas, white pineapples, and Cirilo Cacao. Feeling very fortunate to find this space that values such integral connections to this planet and those caregivers that have come before!
Many varieties of fruit, all organic, and thriving! You can taste it! Highly recommended to walk this finca, as well as the primary, secondary forests, and medicinal garden grounds, and breathe it all in! Chocolate making tours, fun gifts, and more! Grateful to learn all I can while here!
-Gracias, Timothy

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable & Educational Tour with Alex!
We had the pleasure of touring Finca Kobo with Alex, the owner, and it was the highlight of our time in the Osa Peninsula! His deep passion for plants and conservation is contagious—you can’t help but get excited about the incredible biodiversity of the region.
Alex’s knowledge of endemic species is impressive, and he shared fascinating insights about the ecosystem in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or just curious about tropical flora, this tour is a must-do.
The finca itself is a hidden gem, teeming with life and beautifully maintained. We left not only with stunning photos but also with a newfound appreciation for Costa Rica’s natural wonders.
Highly recommend—thank you, Alex, for an unforgettable experience!

Read moreHands down best tour I have ever done ever! Alex was wildly knowledgeable and so excited to just tell us about his farm. He took us on a very detailed tour of the grounds describing every plant, bug, and animal we came across. It was so fun to learn about various medicinal plants and trying leaves of anesthetic plants. We got to try star fruit, several kinds of bananas (square bananas are the best especially when they are SUPER ripe), vanilla, and cacao beans fresh from the fruit. He then showed us the entire process of taking the beans from the fruit, drying it out, roasting it, then shelling it and pressing it. He let my daughters play with the fresh pressed chocolate so they could see where cocoa butter lotion comes from!! The tour ended with a lovely meal of pineapple, watermelon, bananas, chocolate cake, and chocolate sauce. It was amazing and I hope more people take this tour so Alex can have an even more thriving farm and can share his love of farming and plants to even...
