I have been coming here for the past 10 years every time I visit Costa Rica, which is 5x now. It is my parents favourite place and they live in Peurto Viejo so the visit every few months. This beautiful place offers not only a 'jungle like experince in the thermal pool area, but boosts of a great restaurant, too. The breakfasts are buffet style and feature some of the typical dishes. The menu has a wide variety of choices and chez Javier is amazing! ||The habitations are spacious and super clean, with room cleaning service provided daily. The habitations have kitchens which are fully equipped to prepare whatever food you bring, as well as a coffee maker, stove, micowave, refrigerator/freezer. The grounds outside the habitation are maintained beautiful and provides a true tropical setting. There is furniture inside that can be moved outside to sit and relax on the pation, too.||||And, getting to the pools themselves, the best part! There are 6 different hot pools, in varying temperatures.. They are all clean and well maintained, water is changed very regularly, with fast moving water passing from pools and passing through non stop. There is a bar, which sells drinks and limited food items. The staff are very friendly and wonderful! Their is also a spa service with AMAZING great prices! I loved my reflexology treatment and also the facial! Getting to and from the pool area does require walking down a long path, paved in stones, which is beautiful and in a jungle area, you can even see two types of monkeys in the trees sometimes, and morpho butterflies! It takes about 5 to 7 minutes to walk down to the pools and the way back is up hill.. This is and will always remain my favourite place to visit in Costa Rica.. The staff is so friendly and nice, we always feel so welcome and have the true Costa Rican warm hospitality! I will be back...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming family-run hot springs hotel in Costa Rica, and I must say, it was an absolutely amazing experience! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality from the friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The Hot Springs themselves were like a slice of paradise, surrounded by lush forest and with perfectly maintained pools to create the perfect serene atmosphere to relax and revitalize. I felt so restored after each immersion in the natural waters, it was becoming my preferred activity at any time of the day. The walk upon the well lit path at night to the springs made the experience even more magical. The rooms at the Hotel were spacious and cozy with tasteful attention to detail while maintaining the simplicity and allure of the areas, natural beauty. What really stood out to me about Termales Del Bosque was the passion and love that clearly went into every aspect of the guest experience. It was evident in the way the staff ensured guests felt like part of the family. I would highly recommend this family run Hot Springs Hotel to anyone who appreciates an authentic Costa Rican experience, and the healing power of natural Hot Springs. I cannot wait to...

I stayed here with my little family. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are alright - the room we stayed at could do with a good deep clean, a little renovation and new mattresses. The food at the restaurant was good and there were quite a few vegetarian options and a lot of vegetables, more than we were used to in Costa Rica. The entrance to the thermal pools are a peaceful 10-minute walk through meadows and forest. From the entrance to the pools it‘s another 7-ish minute walk through the forest to the pools. I recommend wearing shoes with good grip. The location of the pools is beautiful! the pools are nicely warm and it‘s nice to spend time there. the cocktails at the bar are good and the waiter was friendly. I have to say I don‘t understand the negative comments here about the pools and the pool bar. yes, everything is a bit old and rusty, but the location is in the middle of the forest where it rains a lot. everything works so why would they replace it? the options at the bar are limited, yes, but again, it‘s in the middle of the forest and the path to there is narrow and steep and they bring everything down and up again by a pushcart so under these circumstances the options are...

We came to find this place as a resting spot after our long trip. The first thing I would say is make sure that you bring a towel the attendant promptly told us that towels were not available for rent but he did let us borrow one as long as we promised to return it they don’t usually do that. The walk down to the Hot Springs was OK if you have hip problems or are uneasy on your feet it may be a little bit more difficult. Make sure to bring snacks they do have alcohol and Beverages but they are very basic. This is nice for an hour or so we were lucky no one was hardly there so we had the place almost to ourselves not sure I would stay there for any particular reason.

My favorite hot springs in Costa Rica. Just amazing how it's totally surrounded by nature, REAL NATURE (not fake, non man-made, just wonderful nature) it's really quiet and nice, the hot springs goes from 20C up to 45C, so everyone can choose their favorite temperature. The restaurant is ok, not good, not bad, just a normal one. We ate, Shrimps, Churrasco and Ayote Soup.
