Lodge Las Estrellas de Samara — Hotel in Sámara

This place is a little paradise high above some of the best beaches I have ever been to. Nathan, his family and his beautiful dog Mango are so lovely to be around. They are not the kind of hosts that are in your face all the time, they allow for your privacy. We have stayed here 3 times and will continue to come back every year. The breakfasts are delicious and the pool is welcoming after a long day at the beach. The bungalows are great too -- super clean, great AC when needed and turn down service every night. Nathan and his family also keep up the place and are constantly making improvements. If you want some of the best views in costa rica and a nice safe and quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of Samara, then this is a great place. One note: the ride to the top is bumpy, always rent a 4 wheel drive and try not to yell at your spouse on the way up. Bumpy roads are a way of life in this area. We stayed at Lodge Las Estrellas de Samara this past January for 3 nights. ||The views from the villas are breathtaking (ocean view). ||The villas were perfectly decorated and equipped (bath and pool towels and shower products) and very clean. ||Service and hospitality was excellent. ||The pool is beautiful with amazing views. The pool area has an outdoor kitchen that includes a fridge. You are welcome to beverages which are settled up at the end of your stay. They also offer a beautiful breakfast and dinners if requested. We had the loveliest three night stay at Las Estrellas de Samara. The lodge is a 10min drive from Samara up a dusty and windy road (you will need a 4x4 to access the property). Once at the top you will be greeted by the most amazing view over Playa Samara and Playa Carrillo. The individual lodges are modern, comfortable, spacious and clean. Our hosts, Jean-Luc and Paolo, ensured throughout our stay that we had everything we needed and went as far as offering that we borrow a hammock to take with us to the beach which was a nice touch.
