La Terraza Guest House B&B: A Costa Rican Paradise Found! ☀️ If you're seeking an escape that transcends the ordinary, look no further than La Terraza Guest House in Grecia, Costa Rica. This isn't just a place to stay; it's an experience that will leave you rejuvenated, connected to nature, and utterly smitten with Costa Rican charm. Nestled amidst lush greenery, La Terraza basks in the tranquility of Grecia, known as the "cleanest city in Central America." Picture vibrant streets adorned with colorful houses, friendly locals, and the melody of exotic birds – pure bliss! Stepping into La Terraza is like entering a secret garden. Lush foliage, a sparkling river gurgles nearby, and hummingbirds flit between fragrant flowers. Tranquility reigns supreme, making it the perfect haven for relaxation and reconnection. The El Rio Apartment is a cozy haven, tastefully decorated with local flair. I fell in love with the private balcony overlooking the verdant paradise, and well-equipped kitchen for a touch of home. But the true magic lies in the little details – fresh flowers adorning the tables, local artwork gracing the walls, and the ever-present melody of nature outside your window. And, the food! Every morning, you're treated to a carefully curated breakfast. I was impressed that every breakfast consisted of a different, yet hearty, meal. The Chef, Ana, really did her thing to tantalize my palate! In my opinion, the heart and soul of La Terraza is its incredible family. They run the place with genuine warmth and care, making you feel like a cherished guest, not just a tourist. Their passion for their country and dedication to creating a memorable experience are infectious, leaving you with a newfound appreciation for Costa Rican hospitality. Special thanks to Charles, Paola, Ana, Brayan, Mauricio, and Edgardo! They truly made my experience incredible. It was very hard to leave! More than a stay, La Terraza Guest House B&B is an experience. It's a place to reconnect with nature, discover the magic of Costa Rica, and create memories that will last a lifetime. So, if you're seeking an escape that's equal parts paradise and pura vida, book your stay at La Terraza today! You won't regret it.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 La Terrazza BNB is a hidden gem in Grecia that completely exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived at the cheerful bright yellow office building, we were welcomed with warm smiles and genuine hospitality from the wonderful staff. The accommodations are unique and charming—each room is in a separate building, giving a cozy and private feel. Ours was equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and local coffee. Best of all, it had a balcony overlooking the lush grounds and offering a peaceful glimpse of the creek. We felt completely safe sleeping with just the screens closed, drifting off to the soothing sounds of flowing water. The fifteen-acre garden is pure paradise. You cross a picturesque bridge over a year-round creek to enter what feels like a nature sanctuary. One staff member, Mauricio, even took time to walk us through the grounds, pointing out native plants, birds, and wildlife. It was like our own personal eco-tour. Mauricio also agreed to be our personal tour guide of Grecia and the surrounding area and towns. Without him, we would have missed so much of the "real" Costa Rica. Breakfasts were incredible—different every day and made with love. Authentic Costa Rican dishes seasoned to perfection, fresh fruit (some harvested right on the property), flavorful rice, and the most delicious homemade bread. Every morning was a treat! And then there’s Charles—the delightful owner. We enjoyed several conversations with him and truly appreciated the pride he takes in this magical place. He’s created something special here. Our stay at La Terrazza BNB was the definition of *pura vida*—peaceful, refreshing, and unforgettable. We can’t wait to return! (Be prepared as everyone uses WhatsApp. Lots of voice messages; I did find out that having your BT on will interfere if it's on and connected to other devices, e.g. hearing aids...)

La Terraza Guest House is a quaint little boutique hotel nestled in the hills just outside of the town of Grecia. It’s not “fancy” but the room was comfortable and spacious. I traveled alone and I felt perfectly safe here. Don’t expect piping hot water or stellar water pressure. This is Costa Rica! Bonus that my room had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The only bummer was that the coffee grounds were not supplied. There was a bag of coffee in the room but I had to purchase it for $9. I loved falling asleep to the sound of the river and waking up to birds chirping and roosters crowing. The grounds are gorgeous and breakfast was delicious. Paola, the caretaker is a sweetheart and welcomed me with a freshly baked muffin. If you are visiting Grecia, La Terraza is definitely the best accommodations around.

Charles and his team are incredibly welcoming and helpful. We stayed at La Terraza Guest House several nights, and we loved every second of it!

La Terraza Guest House is located about 40 minutes from the SJO airport, in a small mountainous town of Grecia. At the start of our trip, we used the shuttle service organized by la Terraza, but it is also feasible to get there by a car rental. Our driver was waiting for us at the airport as arranged, so we had no problem with transportation.

The property itself felt like a paradise. There are about 6-8 rooms/apartments, each of them with a beautiful terrace. The views are absolutely stunning of beautiful garden and river. The property extends across the river; the large garden is teeming with banana trees, coffee bushes, carambola and other fruits.

The rooms are very clean and tastefully decorated. The wifi worked great - it was high speed and we were able to work and get whatever we needed to get done.

Breakfast was included in our price. The breakfast was tasty and satisfying. However, the same food is given every day. You have an option to ask for something else, but you need to pay $10 extra.

Although not related to the property, walking on the streets can be challenging. There's no sidewalk to speak of, so we do not recommend walking after sunset (you will not be visible...
