Lake Arenal Condos — Hotel in Santa Rosa

The views are stunning here, it’s hard to imagine another place in the Arenal area with better views of the lake and volcano (it was hiding under clouds but we can tell it was there). We had a couple of rainbows and beautiful sunrises. It’s a quiet and isolated area. The pools are beautiful, nice and cool as we like it, and clean and in good condition. I mistakenly thought we had our very own “private pool” since the listing states that our unit comes with a private pool (I figured they would at least be close by and shared with only a few other units), but learned that it means that the pools are private for the condo property. I got over my slight disappointment when we actually visited the pools and saw how big they were with amazing views of the lake. Our condo was large, and was clean and well maintained, stocked with lots of towels and kitchen items. Some things that could be improved: the AC wasn’t working (or maybe too difficult to figure out how to use it), but we had fans which was enough, and the type of lightbulbs they use makes it feel like an office setting, but I believe that has to do with using energy saving LED bulbs. We also chose to drive to the pool to use it because the terrain is very steep coming from Bldg #2. There were only 2 of us staying here, but the “second bedroom” that was on our listing is not a real bedroom, just a bed in the living area with a curtain around it, which served as a daybed for us or could be for a child. We were very impressed with the condo, clean and spacious, beautiful view to lake and volcanoes, originally reserved it for seven nights, but we left after four because we wanted to also see ocean side of Costa Rica. During stay, the management was very responsive and helpful in accommodating to our needs (even refunded remaining 3 nights in full despite supposedly non-refundable policy). The place is basically in the middle of everything around lake arenal, 1-1.5 hours to Fortuna/arenal volcano national park, Monteverde, Tenorio volcano national park. The views are Spectacular of Lake Arenal!! A gorgeous granite top kitchen with full wood cabinets and all appliances and kitchenware needed to cook our meals!!

3 infinity pools, beautiful landscaping and a parking garage for our vehicle!! Free Wifi which was strong enough to stream Netflix for our little girl!! (they also include a Roku with Netflix among other great apps)
