Our family of 4 spent only one night at Nangu. We had no idea this turned out to be the most memorable part of our trip! The journey began after an adventurous 4x4 ride through the unpaved road (which states clearly in the Airbnb description that it’s required to get to Nangu). We didn’t go in with the expectation for a true Costa Rican hospitality, the natural beauty of Costa Rica, and the tranquility of the forest, but we found everything at Nangu! Its impeccable view is the wow factor of what makes this place magical. The dome itself is comfortable and filled with luxury amenities, including a jacuzzi that fits 4 people. The property covers a large area for guests to explore with lots of hiking trails, and safety nets are being set up on tree tops for guests to soak in the breathtaking views. We all agree the highlight of Nangu is the morning activities that come with the stay - the surreal breakfast and the private zip line tour. Erick and Derix not only brought us the amazing breakfast to the tree top, they ensured safety was their top priority at all zip line stations with their 20+ years of expertise in the industry. We also arranged dinner with Adrian and the private chef experience was amazing. We had no idea what was on the menu but everyone was very satisfied! Nangu was built with a vision, one that would bring guests a one-of-a-kind experience. They hand-knitted each net on the trees, built all the zip line stations, and paved all the hiking trails. These guys truly deserve recognition for all the hard work they have put into bringing guests an...
Read moreSo, when I booked this I read the reviews and saw this gorgeous breakfast & view, it seemed like the people would be so friendly. Well, that was not our experience. No one talked to us, we showed up to keys in the door, so we went in. The view is incredible and the dome itself is cool, but defiantly not enough for a family to do stuff for a full day. I would say ONLY come if you want to be secluded with a lover. Also, we got zero food/breakfast. This was the worst part. When I booked this it said breakfast included, there was nothing.. so in turn I didn't pack enough food for the trip since I was expecting this gorgeous breakfast spread, and we lived off chips and ramen for 2 days. These reviews had amazing photos of fresh food, yeah that is not here anymore, so don't expect that. The road here, is the worst I've ever been on, and I grew up in the country, so I'm used to bad roads requiring tractors. This is worse.
I've asked our transportation to pick us up early because we need to enjoy this vacation and this is not the place to do that as a family.
Cool idea, but wish I wouldn't have brought my family here now and we should have stayed at the other amazing places we have seen here in...
Read moreWe spent two night at Nangu (one night in each dome) and it was an unforgettable experience! The peace, privacy and beauty of this property is unmatched! Adrian is a visionary with his land and will continue to create a magical spot for visitors. The domes are each different but still have the new modern feel. The upper net where we were served breakfast was lovely whereas the swings, deck and view of the other dome were dreamy. The breakfast, coffee and fresh juices were delicious! We zip lined and did Tarzan swing which was so cool! It’s nice to do this on your own without a huge group. The drive in and out is steep and slow but to be expected. Also, prepare your self for some wind and bring your bug spray. Thanks for the...
