Hotel Mary Tilaran — Hotel in Tilarán

I stayed here for one night and paid a really good price. I took one of the small single bedrooms, it had a good fan and place to charge my phone. Soap and towel were provided. The room I booked had a shared bathroom across the hall which I prefer as it means it gets cleaned more often. The shower is really good, with hot water which was a pleasant surprise. I would recommend this for someone just arriving in town. The reception and owners were really friendly. Below is a restaurant bar with decent food and good service. At night it can be a bit loud, but just turn on the fan in the bedroom and it helps to lessen the noise from outside. I paid the hotel by credit card for 8000 because of low occupancy and because I did not make an online booking. The restaurant / bar portion of the hotel seems to accept all credit cards but the hotel only accepted Visa and Mastercard. There was no additional charge for using my credit card at the hotel or restaurant which was very much appreciated as I did not have any cash. Overall I would recommend and stay at this...

Sylvia is wonderful! We stayed at Hotel Mary for a full week for a scientific research trip. They have a small parking area with a locked gate, so it's very secure. The restaurant staff are also very friendly and kind in the restaurant below the hotel. Sylvia was very accommodating to our strange hours coming and going from the hotel in the mornings. Our type of work meant we were a bit messy, but it was great coming back to a very clean room and fresh towels after a long work day! Great place to spend the night. The owners were lovely people and gave me a good feel right off the bat. I got the small room with shared bathroom also. The room was small and therefore was very economical! There’s a nice garden/terrace area just around the corner from the room with a comfy rocking chair I spent time in, it looks over the back area so it’s quiet away from city noise.

I’m traveling by bike and there was no issue bringing my bike into the hotel.
