We wanted to visit this area to be able to raft the Rio Pacuare. Wow! This place is exactly what we hoped for & more. The lodge we stayed in, Tucan, was super cute and clean for our family of 5. We knew based on the pictures that it would be a tight fit and we would share one bathroom, but that was fine with us. Breakfast was included and was absolutely delicious! Dinner was also great, as were the drinks. Armando, Marjorie, and Ricardo were fabulous! They drove us down to the point where we would meet the bus to go to Rafting and picked us up. Ricardo even took us on a hike! They do not speak much English, and we do not speak much Spanish, but it did not matter. Our three daughters loved everyone who work there and fell in love with the swings that overlook the mountains and river. This place is a treasure, & I’ll always be grateful for...

There are several dirt roads leading to the property.||We could not have imagined a better place to stay. This rustic lodge had everything we wanted & more for an authentic experience, & Marjorie, Armondo, & Ricardo were awesome. Marjoried booked our room & rafting trip via WhatsApp.||Getting to the rafting was easy (van picked us up from the lodge entrance).||We stayed in the Tucan room (full bed & two bunks, & it fit us well (obviously a tight squeeze for 3 teen girls, but it worked). There was no hair dryer, & the water pressure was very low... but it was not a big deal.||Loved, loved, loved...
Read moreMost charming lodge I’ve ever been at. A perfect stop to make between the Pacific coast and the Carribean one, or between San Jose and Limon/Puerto Viejo. The view is out of this world beautiful, the location is completely off-the-grid, the team is just wonderful, the breakfast is so so good, and fresh. The chicken empanadas is the best one I ever had. The garden has so many types of flowers/trees, etc. Our dog got to run freely and enjoy the beautiful grounds. I have nothing bad to say about this place. The only thing I am not satisfied with, is that we only stayed for a short stay! We will want to come back to enjoy the grounds a little bit more because this place is truly heavenly and we fell in love with it.
(+++ the cabins are very very...
