Hotel Raca — Hotel in City of Zagreb

We are forever looking for the perfect hotel for one-night stays to break up the long road trip from Italy to Bulgaria. In the main we have been pretty pleased with all of our choices. This hotel is just 10 minutes from the superstrada and therefore suits us very well. Of particular note are the extremely helpful staff and the excellent breakfast. Other than for breakfast, the hotel has no restaurant. There are restaurants a short drive away, but after 9 hours on the road we didn't feel like making the trip. The receptionist/concierge/co-owner's reaction: "don't worry, I'll drive you there if you like." ...

i had to change a reservation on a short notice for a night in Zagreb and the big international hotel we use to book was already full. A Croatian work mate booked this small one for us. We arrived late and left early so I could not really see everything but what i saw was amazing. Very nice receptionist, extremely modern hotel (opened December 2016 I believe, family driven). I really enjoyed this short stay. And the price ! It is a three star with rooms at the level of a 5 stars. Other services like Pool or Bar or whatever may be poor or not present but this is not what i was...

We booked one night at the hotel over the phone with a female receptionist. We said that we are on our way. We provided our contact info and personal details. Once we got at the hotel the male receptionist politely said that our room is sold. It was 10pm. Snow. No hotels available around.

This was a disgrace, I never had any similar experience that can match this one. The worst scenario ever provided by the unexperienced receptionist that could, at least, call us and check whether we will come or not, nor did she mention that they reserve the room up to some...
