MM House Zagreb — Hotel in City of Zagreb

The worst travelling experience! I booked through booking.com trusting nice pics and 9,1 review. When i received instructions that say nobody is there and I had to find my room by opening doors with codes and go three floors down by stairs and the "fabulous" breakfast will be left out of the room in a basket, I contacted the owner to cancel! She said "NO you can go to other hotel but I will be paid!" Booking was not helpful so we went there. Very difficult to find . Dark outside with no signs. Air conditioning works as a fan only!! No cooling. Notice that I am electronic engineer so i am familiar with programming an air conditioner. There is NOT a small refrigerator in the room so in 35°C you must drink hot water!!!! The "outside left" breakfast was maybe good for the taste of the owner but not for me! I had to eat what she likes and there was not some water! Just 750ml bottle to make coffee. They say that there is a restaurant but is abandoned(see the pic with spider). They say the room has a water boiler! There isn't! They say there is chocolate or biscuits in the room there isn't! And she said I had to read better! This is what I booked for! But nowhere said that the restaurant is closed,that the breakfast is left out 2hours before I eat it or the air-conditioning is failed. We arrived at night. We couldn't see the hotel sign, it was really dark and between houses. We had to ask a random person to point us to the correct door. The hotel parking lot is now a raised bed flower garden, we had to park 4 motorcycles in a abandoned driveway. Once we got in the front door, we were really struggling to use the rooms touch pad, it was impossible to make it work (6 people trying at 4 different rooms). Owner wasn't answering any of our calls. After 20 minutes we accidentally figured out that you have to press the touch pad really really hard for the numbers to appear. The room didn't have any shampoo. The towels were clean but really worn up and falling apart. The toilet brush was broken and really dirty. No foot towel, shower glass or at least a curtain, the water was all over the toilet that caused the bathroom door to be moldy. Coffee maker with 2 coffee pods, no spoon or sugar, the cups were inside the bathroom next...

For all the people complaining here: do you know what a front is? You know, the old Chicago, mid '30s "front"? Well, this is it. You're there just to generate bills (some of them might even be made up in your name). But that's the game. Laundry. On the other hand, you came to the monument of, what seems to be, one of the greatest Croatian peculiarity. Well, it's not endemic to Croatia but it certainly is surprising for people coming from more developed country.

Oh, and just like The Guide (Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy) advises: bring your own towel.

You might not meet the aliens, but you'll definitely need one. Because nobody really cares about your visit, you're there for statistics :) You're there to take a spin in a giant...
