This charming hotel is located in Komolac,a town which is 5 kms outside of Dubrovnik. It is a very quiet and secluded location on the banks of a river. There is a marina next to it where sevral boats are parked. We really loved this place, though we had inital concerns about the distance. There is a bus stop which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel with buses connecting to the Old Town area every 15 minutes. |This is a family-owned and run boutique hotel with 12 rooms. The room was really nice, with a comfortable bed, well maintained bathroom and a view of the river. The hotel has a restaurant that overlooks the river, and having breakfast there early in the morning was a wonderful experience. |Be warned this is a two storeyed building with no elevator (lift). The gentle man in the front desk was kind enough to help us carry our baggage to the upper floor. He also gave us free bus passes valid for that day, which was a very kind gesture. |The experience we had was something similar to living in a nature resort outside the hustle and bustle of the city. Our stay here made our Dubrovnik experience truly special...
Read moreI visited the restaurant only and was not a resident in the hotel, yet the staff were very warm and welcoming. I can not remember exactly what I ordered (see photo) but I distinctly remember that the meat was very well seasoned and cooked; this is significant when you consider the number of restaurants that offer more or less exactly the same type of food, so for them to stand out is notable. The location next to the Ombla river spring is very picturesque, particularly in the evening as you are treated to spectacular sunsets over the hills in the distance. It is possible to see fish in the river as well. For myself, it presented a welcome antidote to the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik following a day’s worth of traipsing around: obviously it was ideally located as I was staying in a hostel a bit further down the river side, and I would not go as far to suggest that it would be to everyone’s liking as there are far more lively, energetic places to visit and eat. Having said that, if you are in the area, in search of reasonably priced, wholesome food, you won’t go far wrong with...

Lovely little hotel. Slightly off the beaten track down a small quiet inlet. V close to Dubrovnik. We were able to catch the local bus in to the Old Town for approx €3ew. Better than parking! We ate in the hotel, sea bass, and I had some sort of meat ( can't remember), but it was nice. Main reason we are in was that there were no other choices nearby! The room was v comfortable with lovely pillows (a rarity to find pillows we like!). New and spacious bathroom with walk in shower. No lift that I can remember, so our heavy case was a struggle 😂 Breakfast was plentiful with eggs and bacon offered as well as all the usual continental offerings. A good first or last stop or place to base for...
