My Girlfriend and I went here last week and we couldn't rate the hotel highly enough. It all started with a warm welcome by the lovely family who owns this paradise. The family, architects, created a uniqe oasis. Rich in every detail, the facade fits perfectly fine in the scenery. The entrance, an marrocan inspired Zouk, opens up to an unforgettable sea view. The sea view guides you through every corner and in every corner there are art details, pictures, sculptures and so on.
Not to mention a quick snack with local cheese, olives, ham and handmade bread. Not only were the staff fantastic, but the Pool, Suite and the ocean views were incredible - Exactly as pictured! All room amenities you can think of were available. The breakfast was second to none, with the best special dishes prepared from fresh, local ingredients I've seen, as well as an accompanying a-la-carte menu for things like eggs benedict etc. The extra midetarean afternoon snack, which changes every day, was also a really pleasant gusto. The pool was exceptional. It felt private, but generated enough buzz and atmosphere when others were there. That’s what I call an inifinty pool. On the first day Katharina and Diana, the best guest relation manager I’ve ever experienced, organized a short boat trip to a nearby beach club. It felt like Ibiza, but better. On the second day she organized a trip to Dubrovnik. The 20 minutes ride on the beautiful coastal road took us the one of my favourite cities on earth. When you enter the medieval gate and walk through the walls of an impressive stronghold, you feel like living in another century.
But back to the exceptional croatian cuisine. I definitely would recommend the dinner at Ninon. The chef, Jure is doing a fanatstic job. He mixes the freshest local ingredients, mediteranean recipes with a french nouvelle cousine touch. I am a total foodist and a Michelin star is not far away.
Croatia, Dubrovnik, Ninon, Ninon family - memories for life! We can't wait to return again...
Read moreWhere can I start ... the beauty of the place, the magic of the region and outstanding food! My boyfriend and I recently spent a great weekend at ninon. The weekend trip was just fantastic. Upon arrival, when you enter the family-run hotel and see the breathtaking view of the hotel entrance - you feel on vacation. You are welcomed with local tapas and drinks from the lovely owners. The staff makes everything possible to help you all along your stay, from ordering taxis for you whenever you need, boat trips and excursions. (huge thanks to lovely Diana and Katarina) We got the best recommendations to visit the area. The architecture of the hotel is just breathtaking - one notices the love of detail here. The hotel was fully booked during our stay and still has lovingly designed small retreats everywhere, so that you can spend the day undisturbed by the pool or on one of the terraces. Rooms have a good size, sea view and are brand new. A highlight was certainly the dinner - cooked by the young chef Jure. He has not only outdone himself at breakfast every day with new creations but has enchanted us in the evening a gourmet menu with fresh fish and truffles from Dalmatia. I would stay at Ninon again in a heartbeat. Our trip would not have been nearly as wonderful had we not...
Read moreNinon was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish.
We spent 4 nights and it is truly as good as the other reviews suggest (if not even better) - we were initially a bit suspicious of the crazy high ratings across all review sites, but they are fully justified. The hotel itself is stunning - quiet, well designed, and immaculately clean. Food was truly outstanding - as a comparison we went to Nautika (famous Dubrovnik restaurant) on one night and the food was easily as good here, if not better!
However, as others have mentioned it is the people who are the most extraordinary part of this place. Alex, Katarina, Diana, and Andre are incredible hosts - so unbelievably warm and kind, they knew everyone’s names. No request was too big or too small - and they are also all wonderful people - we took every opportunity to socialise with them and they treated us like we were family! This goes for all of the staff, including the chefs and cleaning staff - all who we met were incredible.
Goes without saying Ninon is a more upmarket option as a hotel, and it’s not cheap (Croatia is really expensive as standard so this is fully understandable) - but the value you get for what you pay for is incredible, bordering on outrageous - we will be back as soon...
