Upon arrival , from the outside you could guess what state inside the building you could expect. I kept repeating to myself that the most important thing was that the room was clean, even though I should have known by the overloaded garbage bin just outside the hotel that there was no hope for that. On my way to the room it seemed that the staff dont have a vacuum cleaner - there were bits scattered everywhere on the carpet floor in the lift and outside. As I entered the room I was shocked with the cleanliness. Carpet corners and edges round the room were dusty , the walls were filthy, bedroom lighting full of dust, the curtains I did not want to touch. The biggest shock was the bathroom . The shower was full of mildew(around the shower doors and on the wall in between the tiles). I called reception to say that this is unacceptable for 1000kn/night. She replied that all rooms are the same. I tried to explain that I am not bothered that the room is outdated and my only concern is cleanliness. She gave me another room which was slightly cleaner. I agreed to stay if they would clean the mildew from the bathroom and vacuum a little better in the morning. The following morning I had three cleaning ladies in my room, but unfortunately apart from a little less dust , the bathroom remained the same. All corners were filthy and covered in mildew, the toilet had yellow stains in it and the heater was filled with dust... At this point I gave up.|The food was always the same variety, on the last evening we weren't even given a choice... I wonder what I would have got if I were vegetarian ?|My advice to the manager and owner : Outdated and slightly run down could easily be compensated with cleanliness(buy your cleaning ladies a mildew remover or simply change the silicone once a year) and a better variety of meals. There are many hotels that successfully succeed to keep up reputations this way.|On the good side : staff in the restaurant ...
Read moreThe hotel was empty when we stayed there and consequently the staff seemed rather indifferent to guests. Breakfast was mostly stale bread and various meats and cheeses. None of the staff appeared in the dining room to inquire about the service. The food was nothing inspiring and certainly no sign of Croatia's renowned cuisine. The internet broke down during the evening and when I phoned reception they said, oh, it is working at reception (implying, what are you complaining about). Price at almost €70 for a single room is not worth it considering what one gets for not much more in Zagreb. Maybe the place lights up in...
Read moreWe have spent here one night as a group of company colleagues on our business trip. It means, that the reservation was made via company, and they knew, we were coming. Unfortunately, wellness did not work, AC did not work, wifi did not work and after all card payment did not work. The worst breakfast we have ever had. This hotel is definitely NOT a 4* one! It should have 2 with an exclamation behind... Pls, visit some 4* hotel and learn how to...
