First I have to say the bar does not respect any covid-19 measures. They do not clean the tables between guests, tables are set too close and the staff wears masks under their noses, covering just their mouth. They do not desinfect the shisha between customers!!! They don’t even change the water!!! Beware!!!||||||||But we didn’t know that at first. We went for a shisha and waited for about 20 minutes before we got it. The waiter demanded we pay him as soon as he got us the drinks and when we did he didn’t have enough money to give us back. He told us he would give it later and even though I reminded him a couple of times in the next half hour, he would’t bring us the change back so I had to get up to the bar and demand the money back. It seemed like he was doing it on purpose. The amount he owed us was for the price of a cocktail and not an euro or two which we would gladly leave as a tip for a good service.||||||||The shisha we got was terrible. We got a small one with one tube, even though there was three of us and the couple in front of us had a big one with two tubes. But there was a bigger problem. There was almost no smoke at all. We told the waiter a couple of times and it seemed like he didn’t care at all. My patience was running thin so I got up to the bar again and explained the problem. The boss lady told me that that was the quality they have here in Croatia, and that this is not Turkey, even though the table in front of us had no problems at all. She told us she would give us the money back if we told the waiter sooner even though we told the waiter at least four times about the problem. When I persisted she finally started looking for the problem and discovered there was something wrong with the shisha. It didn’t have the small balls in the tube and wouldn’t function properly. She gave us another from the bar when I insisted and argued with her for about 5 minutes and it seemed like it was the one, the other couple was smoking. I told her there is coronavirus pandemic going on and she needs to desinfect the shisha and change the water, but she kept reasuring me this shisha was not used at all today.||||||||As I said I would strongly advise not to go there as there is a big risk of infection and the staff is very rude. This was the worst shisha bar experience I came across in Europe and I travel...
Read moreMy partner and I booked for a 2 day stay while on a road trip. Hotel good location for a beach holiday. Park outside hotel , tell reception then they will lower orange chain . Park there and they will then take care of the car. Booked in on Saturday 21st August, young dark haired girl, very friendly, very helpful checked us in to room 511. Later in the day we showered and got ready. We noticed there was no shower door, which made the bathroom floor absolutely soaked. Room was lovely, very clean but no shower door is a bit of a fall hazard. On leaving we approached the receptionist, a different girl from check in, who basically said that she was aware of the door being missing and a new door was coming Monday. We explained it was impossible not to soak bathroom with the way it was and maybe we could change rooms the next day if possible. She refused any room change saying hotel was full and that there was no manager in till the next day.. Basically that was that. We went out of hotel and discussed between ourselves maybe get in touch with hotel website provider we used to cancel our booking for next day. On returning to hotel a little later we approached a lady behind reception who was in fact the general manager , we ask the girl had she mentioned it to her, which she then did. The general manager apologised and offered us a lovely suite on the 6 th floor for our next day stay. We were not looking for something extra or free, just a safe bathroom. We where given the suite on the Sunday, absolutely beautiful. On leaving the girl wasn’t the friendliest, she didn’t ask how our stay was, but yes it was amazing. Thank you so much to the generosity of the general manager, and majority of the staff on all levels. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family for its location...
Read moreI can't recommend either the hotel Cerkvenica or the town Cerkvenica itself.
The hotel, in my view, is a 3* accommodation. The rooms are fine but service, lack of any atmosphere and most importantly the breakfast is certainly not 4* level.
Also, be careful - we chose to stay in the hotel because of the promised spa&wellness features but turns out these are paid extra. Also because of covid, the massages are not available (strange, because we were able to get massages in other hotels in Croatia at the same time).
Breakfast had a very small selection, particularly for vegans and vegetarians.
The hotel is located directly in front of the main promenade in the town. The hotel restaurant seemed very loud in the evening so we had dinner elsewhere.
Overall the town was very, very crowded and the end of August and not...
