The accommodation: This place is haven for parents who wish to create some great memories with their children. We are lucky enough to be staying here right now and I like to write reviews while they are fresh in my mind. We are staying in one of the mobile homes (although there are also hotel rooms), which consist of 2 bedrooms - both with en-suites, a kitchen, table and chairs, sofa, TV, air-conditioning, outdoor area with chairs and tables. It's really modern and comfortable.

The amenities: The swimming pools are plenty and there are both indoor and outdoor available and thermal of course so the kids don't have to shiver while learning to swim. There are pool slides, ladders and more and of course there are also playground areas. I tried the fitness centre out today and had a quick workout, equipment seemed alright, good enough for a workout.

The food: The meals at the hotel restaurant seems to be okay and the kitchen was nice enough to prepare us fish as most of the meals consist of meat (so far, only into day 2 now), which is common in Croatia.

Breakfast this morning was simple but not bad compared to some other places we've stayed at, nothing to write home about.

The location: This part of Croatia is beautiful with rolling mountains and it's really not that far from Zagreb (the capital) at all. The scenery is lovely and I've uploaded a photograph from the mobile home where we are staying, It's just a quick walk over to the pools.

Language barriers: Although most of the staff don't speak English amazingly well, the places like reception, do.

Politeness: The staff all seem very helpful and polite, they helped us with our baggage when we asked and always helped to accomodate us when things were a little difficult with our 3 children.

Our situation: We are a family of 2 adults and 3 very small children (3.5 years, 1.5 years and 4 months) and we're reviewing all the accommodation as we travel around Europe this year. I hope other parents with children of similar ages will find our reviews useful.

I am working online as we travel and at this particular accommodation I find the internet excellent so can recommend.

I'll...

Solo traveller, stayed two nights for a Christmas treat following living and travelling in my campervan for nine months. Booked relaxation package to help with fibromyalga pain.

Mixed review. I had looked at the reviews before booking and saw most are five stars. I feel this is misleading and I personally do not feel this is a five star hotel. Its a good hotel but not five stars.

Critical points:

The walls in my room where very thin and I could hear the couple next door right up to 2am on Christmas morning.

Bedding was a bit strange. An under sheet with a single throw on top. No top sheet

The thing on the wall for temperature control and room service doesn't work.

Need to be very tall to switch on bathroom vanity light or pull emergency cord.

Pools were extremely busy boxing day evening. It felt pre covid in relation to covid safety measures and I didn't stay. I had booked with the aim of relaxation and I don't find overly busy places very relaxing especially not during covid.

Floors in the changing rooms extremely slippy. Must take slippers or flipflops.

Management makes clear that the guest is responsible for any damages to themselves or the hotel in welcome pack.

Positive points:

The massage in my relaxation pack was amazing!!! 5 stars!!!

I enjoyed the pool fitness class on Christmas eve. Really helped my muscles and the stretches felt great.

The pools were lovely Christmas eve and Christmas day when less full. Very relaxing and had the opportunity to try different hydromassage and sauna.

Staff overall were good. Christmas day was really nice and all staff were super nice and attentive. They did help to make it a good day by this.

Food tasty and I loved the choice of food in the buffet. Love trying new foods so good when I can try lots of little bits of things.

The hotel was...

I am very disappointed. The prices have increased, and despite the fact that prices of everything have gone up, the decrease in quality of the services in Terme Jezerčica, especially spa mad wellnes that I frequently used is a bit too much. The 45 min massage I used to have with herbal tampons used to be 39, now is 47 €, but no more herbal tampons, just base oils are used. The upper floor chill lounge is ruined, dark, they built barriers after the renovation and there is no more sunbathing, it's as dark as the ground floor. Price for 2 hours of swimming and 3 hours of spa has increased for 10 €, but there is no more tea, just plain tap water with tasteless orange peals and I am not convinced that the oranges are suitable for this use, since you can infuse only non-teated organic oranges. You get cone shaped paper cups that you can not set by your side and which fall apart if you refill them only once. As cheap as they get, I suppose.. If you have more then 50 kg, or if you are higher than 1.60 m note that the 2 towels that you get to use in sauna are too small. Showing of my private parts while chilling is not my thing and you can not cover yourself with these small towels. No more nice big cotton sheets. And a towel that you used to get. I am very very disappointed. For such an increase of prices, I would at least expect the same level of quality, but you pay more to...

We have been many times at the pools but this is our first time at the hotel and it was great - definitively will do this again. The room is spacious, beds are really comfortable(hard, good mattress), everything is clean, the balcony is a nice add-on with it's two chairs and a coffee table. Closets are at the entrance, big enough to fit all your stuff. There is also a direct exit to the outer pool area from the corridor at each floor - so you can skip going through reception area (fully dressed) and instead just pick your towel and suncream and leave :) Also, the wellness and spa center is really nice, clean, spatious and with a sauna to fit every desire. We had half board, and breakfast was really great, with abundance of choice. There was great coffee and many food options (even for kids), from continental to Mediterranean. Dinner consists of soup, two main dishes, few side dishes, cooked vegetable options, a full salad bar and cakes for dessert.

Jezercica is a perfect place for body and soul. Staff is very kind and prepared to accommodate you in anyway possible, meals are very tasty and there is a great variety on food and drinks, rooms are very clean. There are different pools with different water temperatures (for babies, toddlers and grownups). I give here 4 out 5 stars only due to one negative thing and that is a very very high concentration of chlorine in pool water. Now I am aware that there are rules and most likely directives on how often and how much chlorine needs to be added but the point is that nit only we but approximately 40 % of all visitors in pools had chlorine burns (mostly on the face, neck, and back), it was visible for all. I believe that maintenance crew should sometimes take a walk between visitors in the pools to be sure that administrated chlorine is not to much as it was in our case.
