Restaurant-Hotel Ana — Hotel in Grad Gospić

Had to fight about the price..they wanted more the we agreed over phone, great dinner but slow service, we waited for 1.5 hours. Everthing was cold at breakfast, eggs and sausages included. Machine was out of coffee but they brought us coffee from the bar. Cool, except they charged it. We sat at the table for a night drink at 23:40. We waited 30 minutes to be asked, then they said they are closed since midnight and they can't issue an invoice. I said they can charge my room in the morning. They said it can't be done. Minibar was empty, except for the half bottle of wine from the last guests. Room smelled on cigarettes while smoking is prohibited. Of course, we couldn't open the window. AC didn't work either. Stayed here mid week as party of a cycling group and enjoyed the stay after being in a very basic mountain hut the night before.||Rooms are fairly dated on decor and on the smallish side but adequate for a short stay. Plenty of hot water and rooms are comfortable and clean and beds firm.||Perhaps better to ask for a room that doesn't front the main road, and is at opposite end of the hotel to the supermarket entrance ( adjoins the hotel at the rear) as there was a fair bit of shopper and traffic Noice from around 6am||The restaurant serves a good range of dishes although the quality is just ok, the serves are large ( found this large servings across Croatia fairly standard). When we came at hotel nobody was there at the desk.Waited for 15 minutes.||Room is poor decorated , windows shade dirty and cuttered. Bath cries for reconstruction, and in general room needs deeper cleaning. Room has not properly installed tv and hasn t programs at all, personel said that it will get it fixed for couple days. We will be to far away and never return again.||The best thing happened during the night, at nearby supermarket alarm activated but nobody done nothing, it lasted all night.
