2 nites upon arrival and one at end of Croatia visit. Rule 1: if going by bus, go to the main road just in front of airport and wait for the #37 bus...every 20min or so but tell dtiver Kastel Kambelovac. 2: Kristian is your go to man, speaks grt English and is excellent host. Yes, being 2 star you get what ypu pay for but positives: nice food at good prices in restaurant; if an early checkout they'll prepare a snack pack- a grt gesture. The location bei g on top of the water. Not a true beach but good for a swim. Negatives: ok, its not the Ritz but was a good price for August. My onky issue was the wzter pressure, quite unpredictable and water flooding bathroom from under the showsr stall. Toilet didnt flush well either. Oh, and its about 30min by bus from Split and 20min from Trogir. On my last day Kristian suggexted i visit Trogir and full marks, this is a gem of a town. He was ok with my very late check in: much appreciated. If only the plumbing was of a good std then I'd happily give 4/5. Still, def worth...
Read moreWe booked this hotel not expecting very much as it was very cheap. I had found some reviews and they seemed favourable, but I was still a little dubious because there weren't that many.||||When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. We were greeted and shown to our room which was clean and accommodating. The room had a lovely balcony view, air con, TV, a fridge, everything you'd need. Only complaints would be that there was a dirty towel (just one small towel out of many) and during one windy night there were a lot of slams and bangs coming from somewhere within the hotel.||||Breakfast was included in our price and it was very nice. We sat outside at the hotels terrace and enjoyed our food in the amazing weather with the gorgeous view of Split city center across the water.||||I'd definitely recommend this place. It's also ideally place just a bit away from the more busier area just a few hundred feet...
Read moreIt is a 2 star hotel so don't expect gold chandeliers and posh decor. The rooms have the basics (as stated on website)which is all we needed. If you like friendly, old fashioned service with no frills then this place is ideal. The location is great with the pebbley beach on your doorstep (Take water shoes to make it more comfortable walking on small pebbles) It is quiet here, which we liked(we are a couple in our 50s) but there were some families too. Seating area/bar/cafe overlooks beach so it was so relaxing just sipping your drink and looking out over the sea. Lidl is 2km away. Local supermarket 'Ribola' about 8-10 mins walk. Bus stop to Split about 8mins away. Opposite side bus stop to Trogir. Buses run every 20 mins and cost HRK 17 adult, which is approx £2. Bus 37, journey is 20 mins to Split, then a 10 min walk to get to the...
