Kralj Tomislav Hotel Ltd. — Hotel in Grad Nova Gradiška

I spent two nights in the Hotel Kralj Tomislav and found it to be quite well appointed. While decorated with traditional folk furniture and life size murals depicting historical Croation scenes, the hotel includes all the modern amenities you could require; individually controlled heat and AC, wifi, TV, private bath, laundry service, and 24 hour staff. It represents the best of both worlds. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Nova Gradiska, just off the bus and train stations. A car is not necessary since you can walk to numerous shops, restaurants, bars and a park directly across the street. But, if you have a car, they provide free, convenient, off the street parking. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, plus many of them spoke English which helped me a lot as I speak almost no Croation. A “made to order” breakfast was included with my room. I had eggs over easy with fried ham, juice, delicious coffee and an assortment of breads with cheeses and butters. Yum! The gentleman on staff the morning I left (at 5 am) was thoughtful enough to make me a fresh cup of coffee and even added a biscotti. The hotel has its own formal dining restaurant, an English Pub, a second full service bar, a casual indoor cafe where breakfast is served and an outdoor patio. Adjacent to the casual cafe is an indoor play area for little children, which allows parents to finish their meals in peace while the children play. I plan to visit my family in Nova Gradiska again next year and plan to stay at the hotel Tomislav again. P.S. Note to American travelers - the bedding is not what we would be accustomed to (upper sheet, blanket and comforter) instead it is simply a slipcovered duvet. That's how it...

we spent one night in this hotel on the way to Italy. we had our dog and our cat with us. The hotel is very close to the center of Nova Gradisca, in front of a lovely city park. The structure is very nice, very clean and quiet. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and kind. The room was large, spacious and equipped with air conditioning and TV. The only hotel in Nova Gradiska that has air con. Nice quaint hotel with lovely charm. Rated as 3 Star hotel, I would give it 4 Stars just for the Air Conditioning in the room. When we were there it was above 38 deg every day and 30 at night. The staff were very attentive the food was good and a very pleasant nights sleep. Nothing special, but definitely lived up to its 3...
