Garden Resort — Hotel in Grad Novalja

The accomodation was not what we booked and what we were expecting.

There are lots and lots of stairs leading to the apartments, which makes a challange to carry the lagguages. This was not mentioned in the description.

The apartment was not what we booked. We always check carefully what we book and because of our dog we went for an apartment with see wiew. On the photos there was a closed balcony what we wanted so we can let our dog free. When we arrived we got a room below resataurant level which had a terrace but it was not closed. We obviously complained at reception but she was not helpful at all, and cut it short whit "there isn't anything else". As we already payed in advance we stayed, we did not want to loose our money. Apartment facilities are very basic: no tablets for dishwasher, no paper towel in kitchen, no shower gel, no hair drier.

Lot of ants everywhere.

There was NO wifi signal even phone signal is very bad.

We tried the restaurant. Menu is very basic, only one type of fish, fried and grilled calamary and burgers. Not a good experience. Restaurant staff was nice and helpfull.

Pool area was well maintened and clean.

Our trip was great, only because we did not let it to be ruined by the accomodation facilities and experiences.

Unvergessliche Auszeit Wir haben dort einen Traumurlaub abseits des Lärms verbracht. Das Hotel Garden Resort liegt auf einer Anhöhe, es gehören gleich 2 gepflegte Pools inklusive Solardusche, Schirmen und Sonnenliegen und ein Restaurant für Frühstück und Abendessen dazu. Es ist nicht mehr nagelneu wird aber ständig liebevoll adaptiert, wer Luxus erwartet, ist hier falsch. Die drei Häuser bilden eine wundervolle und saubere Anlage, groß genug, um allen Ansprüchen gerecht zu werden, und doch sehr familiär geführt. Wir hatten ein Apartment mit zwei Schlafzimmern, das sehr komfortabel und geräumig und zusätzlich noch zweckmäßig eingerichtet war. Der Balkon, eigentlich eine Loggia, war riesengroß und der Ausblick davon atemberaubend. Zum Kiesstrand Potočnica sind es circa 3 Gehminuten bergab und, ja, danach auch wieder bergauf. Über eine kleine Promenade gelangt man in wenigen Minuten zum Sandstrand Kukurina, alter Baumbestand sorgt sogar für Schattenplätze. Am Weg gibt es immer wieder Treppen und Leitern, über die man auch in das glasklare Wasser eintauchen kann. Wer mehr Trubel braucht, ist in 12 Autominuten in Novalja, wer die Nacht zum Tag machen möchte in 18 Minuten beim legendären Zrče Festival Beach. Unser besonderer Dank gilt Toni, der uns bei jedem noch so kleinen Problem unterstützt hat und sehr hilfreich war, bei der kostensparenden Organisation der Taxifahrten. We fell in love with this place. The location and the view are amazing. It's outside of the city and close to nature. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help. The food at the Garden Resort Restaurant was very delicious and the waitors and chefs are very kind, caring, heart warming people. It almost hurt to leave this place and we would love to come back when we visit the Island Pag next time. Thank you for making this place...
