Apartments Katarina — Hotel in Grad Novi Vinodolski

I never usually write reviews, but this was over the top. We stopped there a week ago, because we heard that the food is really delicious. The waitress was kind at the start and that’s about everthing nice i have to say. 4 of my friends ordered fried calamari and two portions of fries. They put it all on one big plate without asking, so we didn’t know how many portions we actually got. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t more than 3 portions, because all of them were still hungry at the end. Usually we wouldn’t be that bothered by it, but the price for one portion of calamari was 18€, without fries. I ordered a hamburger, at least that’s what it said on the menu, but all i got was two slices of bread, one leaf of salad and a small patty of meat. The “hamburger” was 8€ and the fries 5€, so all together 13€. I ate it just because a was really hungry. After we wanted to talk to the manager to complain about basically everything that was wrong. We managed to complain about the “hamburger” but that’s everything we got to say because he immediately got mad and started yelling at us that we should leave the establishment and never come back. We payed in total 113€ for 5 people and left still hungry. I highly suggest you avoid this place...

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the food, portion sizes, and prices. I recently stayed at your establishment and unfortunately, I was not pleased with the experience.

Firstly, I would like to highlight the quality of the food. I noticed that the quality of the dishes was disappointingly poor. The taste of the food was bland and failed to meet my expectations. As a guest, I expect to enjoy high-quality and flavorful meals, and unfortunately, that was not the case at your restaurant.

Furthermore, I was very disappointed with the portion sizes. The portions served were minimal and did not align with the price I paid for my dinner at Apartmani Katarina. I expected adequate portions that would satisfy my appetite, but I was significantly let down by what was presented on my plate.

Additionally, I noticed that the prices at your apartments are too high considering the quality of the food and portion sizes. As a guest, I desire to receive value for my money, but I found a mismatch between the quality and the prices charged. I believe that my stay would have been much more enjoyable if the prices were more reasonable for the services offered.

The apartment was nice, clean and big enough. The view from the balcony to the see was superb, amazing. Little fridge in the room was super. The restaurant of the place is very good. We tasted seafood and traditional meats and they were fantastic. Beach is 3 minutes walk, covered with pebble and not crowded. Very good value for money.

Minor problems we had: The pillow was too big and hard, they don't have smaller one. The balcony is not private, we were 3 rooms together on the balcony separated with grid. The rooms looking to the sea are also looking to the main road and it was noisy during the day and the night. The rooms on the first floor are above the ventilation of the kitchen thus in the evening we smelled every meal...
