We visited this beautiful modern hotel near the town of Omis. The location is right on the front line with its own private beach. The hotel looks fantastic, it's brand new and modern. The rooms are in a pleasant minimalist style with everything you need, including a comfortable bed and bathroom, a small minibar fridge and a kettle. Our room had a really fantastic view of the sea. The hotel also offers excellent parking facilities with ample space always available. The breakfasts at the hotel also left a positive impression; although it seemed that usually, hotels of this level offer a wider selection, the quality and taste of the dishes pleased us very much. It was especially nice to see salmon, anchovies, and tuna every day. The only downside was that there were very few desserts, and they looked unappealing. Additionally, the drinks seemed very diluted and artificial. Otherwise, all the dishes were excellent. The hotel staff is very friendly and polite, and it was always a pleasure to interact with each of them. They always smiled and made our stay as enjoyable as possible. The beach and pool were fantastic, but there were a few drawbacks. First, despite the very comfortable loungers, it was unpleasant to find out that there were no proper sun umbrellas. You could only use a small built-in shade on the lounger, which is convenient but insufficient for full protection. Many visitors brought their own umbrellas, which is understandable given the hot weather in July and the danger of prolonged sun exposure. Full-sized umbrellas are really necessary. Secondly, a more serious problem was the presence of dangerous sea urchins on the beach. On the first day of snorkeling, I was shocked by how many sea urchins were near the water entrance, making it easy for tall people to step on them. Of course, we know that a high presence of sea urchins indicates very clean water, but one can get a very unpleasant injury. Each subsequent day, we observed the sea urchins getting closer to the beach, and by the third day, we, along with other visitors, found a sea urchin a meter from the water entrance. A very attentive man carefully removed the sea urchin and threw it far into the sea. The consequences of someone stepping on it are unpleasant to imagine. Later, I continued to see sea urchins approaching, and in some places, it was definitely unsafe to walk without special beach shoes for tall people. I was a bit shocked because even in simpler hotels, I have seen lifeguards, observers, or security who monitor the beach's safety and perform daily checks for hazards, especially since there are many children on the beach. Despite the hotel being fully booked, with a busy beach, I noticed that the loungers were occupied by outsiders who were not staying at the hotel. I can't be sure if they paid to use the beach or came illegally, but unfortunately, no one monitored this, and outsiders occupied loungers meant for hotel guests, which was not pleasant. One day, disappointed with the beach, we decided to visit the pool and were surprised. The pool was overcrowded with children who were causing chaos, putting themselves and other guests at risk. Some were jumping from the edges, some were throwing balls that periodically hit other guests, some were splashing water on everyone, and some were throwing branches into the pool. At one point, a toy got stuck in the pool's drain, and several people couldn't get it out. It was very disappointing that the hotel lacked someone to maintain safety at the beach and pool. This would significantly enhance comfort and safety for all visitors. We are very grateful to the entire hotel staff for the wonderful stay and hope the hotel administration will listen to our suggestions and make improvements. We would love to visit again. Wishing you only...
Read moreThe hotel is to quite a good standard although could benefit from some attention in places, i.e. there was a noticeable stain on our carpet. ||Overall, very clean, all credit to the cleaners, and the beds were very comfortable. Location was very peaceful, lovely and quiet, slept well every night. Spectacular views across the sea.||Some things to note though... our room shared a joint balcony with, I think, four other rooms so guests could walk right past your window. Another couple had an air conditioning leak in their room which they complained about several times but nothing was done, they had to improvise themselves to collect the water dripping from the ceiling.||Also, the location is not actually in Omis, it is a place called Ruskamen. There are no restaurants nearby, we caught the bus into the nearest town, Omis most evenings to eat, about a 10 minute bust ride. The bus stop is up the steep road of the hotel, turn right and it's in front of the supermarket, return stop is nearly opposite. The bus company name is Promet, (the area is outside the local bus route) Promet buses don't run very frequently and are usually very late. Look at 'Go by bus' for the timetable. Ideally you need a car. Taxi is about 10 euros.||We only eat in the restaurant once in the evening, the buffet was tepid, the 'hot plates' aren't hot. When we complained to reception the following day the response we received was rude and impertinent, no apology, didn't even believe us when we said the restaurant closed at 10, we had to show her a photo of the sign to prove it, she then said we shouldn't have gone to eat there 1/2 hour before it closed, couldn't seem to understand that the food should be hot irrespective of the time you eat, within the times stated of opening. We couldn't believe we had to justify our complaint. Not impressed. Hence... we caught the bus to eat to Omis most evenings. (Recommend the Pirates Kitchen). |We also wrote to the hotel upon our return but never received a response.||There were two members of staff who stood out at the hotel in the restaurant, Gea and Manuela, both of whom were polite, friendly lovely people. We also loved the fact that the hotel has adopted a cat called Hilda who has been there since the hotel was built, she has a limp which doesn't seem to inhibit movement and is well looked after.||Makarska, further south down the coast has a beautiful marina and lots of restaurants. We opted to spend extra money to stay there for a night so we could eat a nice meal and at least walk back to our accommodation. Wish we had booked our entire holiday there. Again, you catch the Promet bus.||Overall, we wouldn't recommend this hotel and will...
Read moreWe discovered the hotel a few years ago but had only visited for meals and beach swimming. This year, we had the first breakfast there upon arriving in the Omis area, despite not being accommodated at the hotel, as it was the place the kids wanted to go, when they got the choice of their prefered starting point.
Although we arrived after breakfast hours, the staff was incredibly friendly and offered to prepare a breakfast for us. They brought out a large plate with a variety of foods, à la carte eggs, and drinks—truly a superb experience.
Although we stayed elsewhere, we decided to extend our stay by one day. When I found a deal at this hotel, we booked a single night. The room was very nice, with comfortable beds, air conditioning, a large bathroom featuring a separate shower and bath, and two sinks—quite high standard.
We enjoyed the infinity pool, where the kids played after sunset. The dinner was another standout experience. The dinner team, different from the breakfast staff, consisted of three friendly gentlemen. We tried the tuna steak, which exceeded my expectations. It was cooked perfectly and tasted excellent.
Even more surprising was the beef steak my son ordered, cooked medium on the grill. When it arrived, I was impressed by the portion size, likely double what I typically see at top restaurants. Although I didn’t taste it, the cooking seemed perfect, as my son ate it with a look of pure happiness. When the waiter asked about the meal, I teased him by saying there was a problem. I continued that the only issue was that the portion was too small, as my son would probably need more because it was so excellent, leading to some laughter.
We also had the sea bass grilled, and it was excellent as well.
The place is exceptional—the designer and developer clearly knew what they were doing, and the management is evidently effective. The staff was friendly, and their hospitality felt genuine.
Overall, I would rate it seven stars if such a...
