TROPPE ZANZARE, venite preparati

Let me initially say that I do not recognise the adverse comments made several years ago about this family run hotel!||When we arrived for a 1 week stay we were made welcome, and enjoyed conversations with the owners, who made every effort to make our stay comfortable.......even to the extent of a potential disaster when I left a piece of luggage when leaving, overcome by the proprietor personally delivering it to the airport.....Phew!....and thankyou!||Our air-conditioned room with balcony was clean, towels replaced during stay. Continental breakfast including cereals cold meats, cheeses, juice tea/coffee was enjoyable and gave a good start to the day! During our stay the pool was kept clean and after a day out in temperatures between 25-30 degrees at end of June , it was great to come back for a swim||Pula town itself was OK/average, but within a 20 mile radius there are so many other beautiful places to visit....Rovinj, Fazana, on the west coast and on the east coast there is Medulin, and breathtaking views all the way up the east coast of this area of Croatia (Istria) towards Opatja....||Make time to take a 5 hour boatride from Medulin to the National Park south of Pula (via Premantura) cost approx £16 including lunch and a drink......then swim off the side of the boat to a beach and underwater cave....fabulous!|We hired a car (£77 for the week pre-Brexit).....the roads are fine, so no worries ....without it we would not have seen everything....trains do not go the places I've mentioned, and you don't want to be waiting round for buses...||The location of Aurora Hotel made all the above easy.....the cost too was very reasonable. There are plenty of restaurants near the waterfronts we visited ...very relaxed, none overly posh....for £10 per person you can have a meal including a beer/soft drink. On the outskirts of Pula visit Sydney's (ask the hotel owners).....a meal, with sweet, beer and soft drinks and coffee for three came to under £25 in total!....albeit this is not a tourist spot.||As you can tell, we had a great time.....and good memories of our stay at Hotel Aurora. It will not claim to be the Ritz, but in my opinion is excellent value for money....and if you make an effort to engage with the owners you will find they too make every effort to understand your needs and help you have an enjoyable time.||We'll be visiting...

Having worked in this industry for a long time including some time in Croatia I feel well placed to review. A small family run hotel with nine good sized rooms, some overlooking the pool and others over rural countryside - with Balconies.||This Hotel is in a good handy location, 5 mins from airport (def no aircraft noise) and near all the roads to the key places of Medulin, Prementura plus east and west coast. ||Breakfast is continental and a decent one at that with everything you could ask for - with the owners around to ensure you are looked after at breakfast. ||Rooms are serviced daily and linen changed during your stay. Staff and owners are engaging and friendly. Nice pool with searing area.||Would recommend...

(!?) Noch...
