We happened to spend the night at Suzi during our holiday in the Julien Alpes, which was cut short due to a heavy storm that forced us to flee towards the coast. Our arrival was sudden and late, but the hosts was very understanding and agreed to rent us a room for one night, allowing our small dog with us. The apartment was very cozy and had everything that you could wish for. The heat was on and everything was already warm when we got there, but even so we had extra blankets in the bedroom as well as body and face towels. The bathroom was clean and equipped, the water was hot, which was perfect as we were freezing from a day spent at Skocjan Caves. The kitchen was fully equipped also, with a working stove, a microwave oven, plates, pans, glasses and cutlery, you could easily cook in there if you needed too. I couldn't help thinking that this would be a great place to spend a entire holiday as a couple or as a family with kids. The only possible downside would it's the relative location to the beach, but to us this...
Read moreWe booked the property through booking and stayed for three nights. The experience was terrible for many reasons and for this I wouldn't highly recommend it. It is a two-room apartment just a few km from the city center with obsolete furniture that needs structural maintenance and renovation of the bathroom. During our short stay twice the water drain was broken. Also the shower broke, not allowing the water to run out of the shower and a piece of bathroom window was detached. The light of the hob did not work. The TV had a cathode tube and emitted a hiss. From the sofa bed a spring came off while we were seated. We promptly reported the disadvantages to the owner who tried to resolve them soon, however, with non-resolution interventions and lamenting the limestone that had blocked the pipes in the bathroom. That's why I do not recommend the apartment to the visitors and point out that the price is definitely high compared to the structure's conditions, at the limits of...
Read moreOur second trip to Rovinj and we'd be happy to recommend the 1st floor apartment (Apartment Nino).||||Owner: Suzi very helpful and went out of her way to accommodate any requests.||||Location: quiet residential area (children playing in streets etc) about 20-30mins walk to the Old Town, nice walking route. Easy access to main road by car. Couple of nearby bars and cafes. 1min walk to local food shop, 5min walk to choice of large supermarkets (Konzum or Plodine)||||Facilities: spacious rooms, pleasant decor, reasonably well equipped kitchen. TV with international channels. Free wifi, sometimes slow. Balcony with partial view over hills. Comfortable bed. Good air conditioning unit.||||Parking: parking on driveway or if full then easy safe parking in the road||||All in all a good choice especially if you have a car or don't mind a bit of a walk (I think bikes are available for...
