We just spent 5 nights at this campsite where we rented a premium mobile home, managed by Mediteran Camp. The check-in for this accommodation is inside the campsite. Daniel showed us the cabin and explained the various functions of this home. Our cabin was in the second row (much preferred due to the filtering of the traffic noise). We could still see the ocean from our deck. The premium mobile home offers you 2 bedrooms. Master with double bed-spacious, 2nd with 2 single beds-tiny, 2 bathrooms with shower/sink/toilet-luxury, open-plan living/dining/kitchen area with a sleeping-sofa. Very spacious deck with a large table. This campground is located just 20min walking distance from Rovinj, the beach is just across a pretty busy road. There is a bakery on-site, which sells freshly baked goodies for your breakfast (Fantastic!). If you need to wash your clothes (€5 for washing, €5 for drying-pretty expensive), there is the option at the shower blocks. We had to come 3 times as there is only one washing machine/dryer available. This campsite is petfriendly, and we saw quiet a few customers with dogs. However, the site is very clean and no barking at all. Regrettably, there was an issue that upset us a lot. Due to an allergy to animal hair, I had a severe reaction after the first night. It turned out that the floor of our cabin and the sofa was not properly cleaned. Covered with dust, dog hair, and nail clippings. When I addressed this issue with Daniel, he reacted very un-appologetic, and commented that this is a pet-friendly resort . However, this issue was then resolved, and thank you for the cleaning lady who had to fix it. Additionally, there are some other minor issues that need to be addressed for our cabin 31. The seal of the fridge needs to be replaced, the cutting board had better days and is very small, a nail in the wall (left of entrance), hook in bathroom missing (master bedroom). Overall, we had a very nice time, loved all the freshly baked goodies (thank for getting up so early!), liked the beach across the road, the walking distance to Rovinj (20 min). Pricewise, we found it quite expensive as we paid €870...
Read morePorton Nature Hideouts is absolutely amazing and in a wonderful location. We stayed in a holiday home, 2 adults and 3 children. It was the perfect size for our family. The pool was large enough for all 3 kids to enjoy and not feel crowded. It was nice having a small shop to pick up items. The location is perfect, it took us about 20 minutes to walk into town and the beach across the street is absolutely amazing.
There is a resturant on site and I want to warn everyone to avoid it unless you want a quick pizza, even those are over priced. Of course their credit card machine was not available so we were expected to pay in cash, no one warned us of that. Then when you pull cash from the ATM right outside of the reception area, know you will pay a large service charge. They are the only reason I marked down stars in service.
Other than the resturant I would 10000% return for...
Read moreThe camping is beyond full. Overpriced, very expensive. Small spots. We spent 2 nights and the people of the reception told us that we needed to change the spot from the first night to another nearby "because that one was booked for the 2nd day". The spot we got was the worst of the whole camping, with inclination and very bad to sleep, next to the road, without shadow. Well, after checking the old spot for the complete second day, there was still free up to the moment we left late in the morning!! even asking reception 3 times if there was a reservation or not. The wifi is very bad. There is a bakery inside the camping which is almost always sold out. The toilet cleanliness can be improved. Noisy during the day (next to the road) and during the night. Only positive point is walking distance to the...
