NOTE: the owners were informed about this remark and did absolutely nothing, in fact, they didn't even respond to my message.
Unfortunately, our experience at Villa Harpocrates was far from what is expected of "luxury" accommodation. From the very beginning, disappointment was present due to the lack of basic necessities. Namely, there was no shampoo, shower gel, and each guest received only two towels for the whole week, which is unacceptable for this type of accommodation.
In terms of privacy, we were not satisfied. although we were informed about this on arrival, every day someone came to water the flowers, which disturbed the feeling of privacy and comfort.
Also, when we asked for basic necessities such as trash bags, coffee beans, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets and shine liquid, we were told that we had to buy them ourselves madam, but in the end they supplemented what we asked for after complaining. Such a practice is not something we have encountered in other luxury villas. We expected a higher level of service, and this completely surprised us.
On top of all that, the free movement of cats in and around the villa created numerous inconveniences. The cats are various litters all around the villa, they entered the kitchen and ate from the bowl, and on my birthday they even stole the fish that was being prepared by the private chef. Two people from our group are allergic to cats, which made the situation even more difficult.
To make matters worse, the villa staff scolded us for the "disastrous" state in which we left it, noting that we are lucky that the next guests arrive the day after. They mentioned that they would have charged us for additional cleaning if the new guests were arriving immediately, which is unacceptable considering all the inconvenience we went through.
