There isn’t much that is “boutique “ about Boutique Camping Bunja, except the location of the site. The actual location is lovely, right on the beach on the lovely island of Brac. But the site itself is a different story. Their publicity material claims “a touch of luxury” amid “privacy”. Beware, you will receive neither. We were given a pitch advertised as 10m x 10m, 100m2. It was nothing of the sort. I have a 7.4 metre motorhome, which they knew, and by their staff’s own admission, it would not fit diagonally across the pitch. In addition, the pitch had two very tall trees on it, one on the left and the other on the right. Both trees leaned into the pitch, meaning that the only way we could fit onto the pitch was wedged awkwardly between the two trees, unable to properly open the awning and looking directly onto the neighbouring pitch from a distance of about 10 feet. Absolutely horrible. So much for the “privacy” they mentioned. On walking around the site, we noticed that the majority of pitches were very close to each other and people and vehicles seemed crammed in. In addition, there are no heges or fences between pitches which might have afforded a little privacy, it is all ‘open plan’ with pitches squashed together, no pitch demarcation signs other than a pitch number making if difficult to identify where one pitch ends and another begins.|The shower and toilet blocks were clean and modern, but there were far too few for the number of people. 2 of the 3 fibreglass “shower pods” were apparently out of order during our stay and the one that was open had no extractor, meaning that, in the 35 degree heat, even a cold shower turned the pod into a steam room. Uncomfortable and horrible. The one washing machine was almost impossible to use as there was always a queue to use it. There needed to be at last 3 for the number of people on the site. So much for the claim of “a touch of luxury”. Although the site as a whole is really not as advertised, the staff are lovely: clearly trying to do the job of dealing with unsatisfactory facilities and unhappy customers to the best of their ability. As I was wrangling with the staff about our terrible pitch, another customer told me that their experience had been much the same and that in fact, I was the fifth person to be dissatisfied with their pitch that day!|If you’re going to use this site, expect to be squeezed in without any screening between pitches onto a possibility inadequately sized plot and to have to wait if you need to use the showers, toilet or washing machine.|On the plus side, the on site bar and restaurant is good, with...

the space is small and very nicely laid out. plenty of trees and modern sanitary facilities. everything works and the distances are short. You can get into the water everywhere over small piers on the rocks. there is a public beach directly on a street. this is never full but not super attractive either. overall the place is very good. the staff is nice and the sanitary facilities are always super clean. there is free wifi and a small reasonable beach bar. the pool is small but sufficient. We have been 7 nights at bunja and it was always quiet at 10pm with many families. we were in the first row by the sea. You didn't see much of the sea because the stone walls are quite high. the prices are also quite high. 7 euros for washing without detergent is very unattractive. unfortunately there is no possibility to buy basics such as water. if the prices ensure that everyone is paid reasonably, it would certainly be okay.

We would...

We were on this campsite for the first time, for 7 days during this year's summer holiday. And we LOVED it! Small, cute campsite with ocean access on all sites. We were there with our roof tent and enjoyed it very much. There was only one restaurant/beach bar which unfortunately didn't have loads of vegetarian options - so we cooked ourselves, on our pitch. The closest city was Supetar, which was within a 25 minute beach walk. It was small, but had amazing restaurants and bars. We could order fresh bread at the reception daily and they even had the offer for massahes by the beach! The facilities on the campsite were modern and clean and the staff was super helpful and friendly! We would definitely go there again and can absolutely recommend it if you love quiet, relaxing and mellow holidays with the most fantastic vues and opportunities to snorkle =D

An intimate and very nicely located campsite with direct access to the sea, arranged with great attention to detal and very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Many facilities for families with children, such as a bathroom, where you can take a shower with two small kids in comfortable conditions, a playground, and a small swimming pool. Besides, peace and quiet, the strip of land with pine trees by the sea is great, you can hang a hammock there or go down to the sea straight from the rocks, to swim all alone. What I have really enjoyed was the amount of new trees and flowers planted - in a few years it will only be more beautiful. The nearby road does not disturb - the sounds of cars are not heard at all.
