I stayed at the Hotel Prvan in Vrgorac for two weeks, during an archaeological programme in the nearby Kokorići village, where the ethno-village is situated and which I also recommend highly.||The Hotel itself is particularly comfortable, with commodities such as TV, Air conditioner, free WiFi... ||However, the most extraordinary thing about it is the staff: I, in my long experience with Hotels, Camps and Appartments, have never met such friendly, sincere, helpful, trusting, formidable people. Everybody was just tremendously wonderful, courteous, lovely and overall perfect. That alone can entrance, seduce and win a visitor's heart.||Moreover the food was just delicious. Everything, from the breakfast all the way to supper, I have never eaten so well in a hotel: I raise my hat to the stupendous cuisine.||The cleaning was done every day, meticulously. No complaints at all.||What else could I say: the owner and his wife are always there, available for any information one may need, or just for some simple chit-chat over a good beer. The waiters were all particularly of good company, always in a good mood, and simply would make every day a wonderous adventure from the beginning to the end with their smile.||Hotel Prvan reveales itself to be a perfect place to stay when in need for a change of air and for evading the city.||||Just a few more words about the ethno-village, the visit of which can be arranged at the Hotel: DON'T MISS IT! It's a wonderful experience of the dalmatian hinterland, and it bears, curiously enough, a wonderful story behind its modest, but humble and lovely look. And, of course, don't forget to drink some "rakija" while you're there.||||Hoping to be there again...

We were behind schedule due to road constructions and far away from our target overnight destination. But we could all use some rest, so we headed towards the coast in search for an overnight stay with our rooftop tents, knowing that there are fines on wild camping in Croatia. At the city limit of Vegorac there was a pictogramm for camping site, so we asked around. As it turns out, the camping ground is operated by Hotel Prvan Vrgorac.|Bad news, it was all booked out. But the family owning the hotel offered us a place to park our car, open the tents and stay. Moreover, they provided access to all the hotels infrastructure, pool and everything. The kids got free ice cream. Croatian hospitality...
