It's hard to know where to begin this review.
Everything is superb.
The inside space:
4 bedrooms three upstairs, one downstairs. The upper ones have ensuite toilet and showers. The lower is adjacent to a bathroom with another toilet and shower.
The rest of downstairs consists of a utility room, open plan lounge and kitchen with dining table. The corner group settee is huge and super-comfortable. There is a very large smart TV with excellent picture and sound and lighting you can control the hue.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need. Dishwasher tablets, insect repellent and cleaning wipes etc are all provided. Coffee pod machine was a nice touch. A large welcome pack was provided with local meats, cheeses and produce alongside beer, wine, milk, water and soft drinks.
The outside space:
Wow! Simply wow. Large private, heated, pool with retracting cover. Large 4 seater hot tub for loooking at the stars. Grassed area, outside dining table. .
A whole separate, air conditioned, building contains the barbecue and outside kitchen. There is a big dining table. Wood and briquettes are provided. The host, Slobodan, had built us a fire for using in it.
More outside space: you have private access to lake Peruća. There is an allotment / vegetable patch with courgette, tomatoes and more. The path to the lake is maybe 100m. There are two, three-seat kayaks you can use freely to enjoy the sunset or just paddle around the lake.
The hosts:
Antonela kept in touch with us before we arrived and there was great communication from her, before we had even decided to stay here.
On arrival, we were met by Antonela and her relative Slobodan. She had travelled from Split to greet us. A thorough introduction to the villa and area, with local recommendations followed. The pool, hot tub and outside space were checked and cleaned every couple of days before we were even awake. No disturbance at all. Antonela was on hand had we needed anything. They turned up the pool heating for us so we could make full use of the pool.
The feeling:
A fab view, a peaceful rest in quiet surroundings, with the chirrup of crickets, frogs singing and wildlife.
The local area:
Lots of churches, castles, and villages nearby. Vrlike center worth a visit. The cetina eye is great. The Dinara mountains a are majestic backdrop. Ristoran Ero (Vrlike) well recommended. It's 10-20 mins to convenience store and maybe 40 to a main supermarket.
